what is the normal trans temperature ??

I thought normal was just below half on the gage.

Normal and the best temp are 2 different things. A auto should be kept as cold as possible but most transmissions hover between 150-180 under normal usage.

i feel safe shifting fast when its in the needle is in the middle or just past the middle.
