Rear Quarter Gill Mod - Your Thoughts?

I am thinking of doing some kind of mod to the rear quarter gills. If I could actually see one of these on a car I would not ask what do you guys think, because I would know if I like it. So wondering if any of you have seen these and which one do you guys like. I am leaning towards the chrome with the black.

I have some on my car. They look great from a distance. But they are stickers. So only put them on if you're ok with some of your snotty friends making fun of you putting stickers on your car I like the look of mine.

I have the black fade on mine also. I really like em. Either will look good on the car. The chrome ones are more old school I think.

I like the looks but I wonder if they will pick up some grimes that would be hard to clean????

I don't like the chrome at all.

I don't mind the fades, but only if painted on.

I really prefer less on the car. I think it looks cleaner without.

I have them. Here are mine. I posted a thread in here titled Retro USA gill mod. You can read a review of them and see them on other cars of diff color as well.

Here's my install. I've had them on since July 2010, they're holding-up pretty well though I do have a couple of chips off the black paint (just like the original 1st Gen Gill Louvers get chips). I do have the splash guards on as well which cut down on some of the chipping I've seen on other car's quarter panels.

They're a matter of taste - I wanted the retro look and I'm pleased with them.

Where did you have the air brushed work done? Would you mind posting a pic?
