Where are the Convertibles at?

I might be wrong but didn't GM start production of the convertibles like a month ago? Where are the happy new owners with pics, or are they held captive in Quality Control like the early built coupes were? Just curious, and excited to see the happy new owners.

They probably won't. The first ones will be heading deep south for sure.

There has to be a happy new owner posting pics with a sunburned permagrin in the next few days.

Mine is built and sitting in Canada waiting for shipment. It seem that there has been no shipments made so far except for GM units for show. This wait is worse than waiting for my coupe in 09 ! Seems like QC at GM is going over these with a fine tooth comb !

We are!

Some cars were signed off on at the end of last week - but - we want to ensure that all is as it should be - a tweak here - a replacement part there.....

The last thing we want is to ship something that isn't right.

Like mismatched paint on front clips, loose spoilers, leaking oil lines, loose clutchplate bolts, raised center speaker grills, and HVAC that do not work right?

Remember the defects checklists to go over before accepting delivery, I do and I used it.

Picture request

That's great news that they'll be released soon..........

What would be nice is to get some early photos, hopefully from the Oshawa lot, to see how the different color conbinations (body, stripes, and tops) show up.

I know this helped me when the 5th generation was first introduced.

Can anyone at the plant, or living nearby, help out with some pics ???

GM really has it going on these days in the quality department. I'm much impressed with my new SS. I'd say the extra wait is really worth it.

I had a Chevy Traverse as a rental a few weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised with the level of quality and features, and the 3.6 sounded very good (even though it's meant to be quiet/muted as a family hauler).

I also watched a MotorWeek segment on the new Equinox. John Goss and the 'family test team' were literally glowing about the perceived quality and features. They couldn't say enough good things about it.

So, while I'm anxious to see a drop-top Camaro, congratulations to GM, and every second spent fawning over the details is really starting to pay off!!!

I saw a red one in vegas a few weeks back. It was sitting in front of a group of penny slots at Mandalay bay casino.
