anyway to do a factory reset on bluetooth/onstar

recently, the bluetooth and on-star phone integration started behaving very erratically.

i can no longer connect to the iphone through bluetooth despite deleting/re-adding connection many times etc. it says it adds but when it goes to make a call, the iphone says 'GM' for audio source then quickly shifts itself back to the iphone speaker. NOTE: bluetooth music still works with iphone.

the other thing i noticed was that the on-star functionality is now erratic. on-star can no longer poll the car for diagnostics and 1/2 the times initiating calls using on-star fails.

my guess is the module is bad or it is in a wierd software state.

anyone know how to do a 'reset' before i engage the dealer?

thanks,
tf

I had to get a new phone a few weeks ago since my chocolate touch keypad didn't work anymore ha! My sales manager helped me hook up my new phone thru my bluetooth for me. I know the first few times it wouldn't let us add my phone. If you take it back to the dealer they won't charge you?

thanks for the response but this wasn't really what i am looking for.

i am very aware of how to install/configure bluetooth. i need a way to do a factory reset on the system because it has gotten itself into a broken state.

anyone else?

I believe there is a factory rest option in the radio. If it actually resets everything to factory settings or not, I don't know, but give it a shot.
