Well, our date is pretty much set for Juy 16th for the 2nd Meet & Greet at Hare Chevrolet. We are getting things together as best we can and looking to make this event even better than last years. Judie Michener from Hare contacted me the other day and is trying to line up a band to play/perform for this years event. They are also contacting other vendors and sponsors for participation. This is going to be huge! If you made it last year you know what you can expect. If this will be your first, you're going to be shocked and blasted away! I personally haven't seen anything this big aside from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway events we attend for Camaro and Corvette owners. This is a local Midwest event, put on and organized by the local Indy guys like Oldschoolcamaro, hrpii, Dragom, Werfoxs, chozn4service and Hosted by Hare Chevrolet who has been awesome in providing things for us like C5.com hats which were popular last year. Everyone and anyone is invited regardless of region or what you're rolling but Camaro's get preferred parking.



This being said, if you're in, this is the thread to let it be known and we'll keep a running tab on those attending so we can keep Hare posted with the final numbers. Again, this for those attending. We don't need to hear that you wish you could or something else is going on. We understand not all can make it but lets keep this thread geared toward those who are committed to being there.

What all do you want to know in particular? We allow vendors to set up a table and a tent, like 10x10 or 12x12. You would be on the dealership lot with the others. We tend to put the vendors in close proximity to each other so people can walk and view all products. All the cars are parked together and last year they were across a drive pass through from vendors though we had a ton of cars!

No fee is charged to attend or to present your products. We ask that if you want to participate that you just let us what you plan to bring and how much set area you'll need and your logo so we can put on our fliers so people will know who will be coming. Some vendors have pass out material and some even have some small giveaway items as well but that's your call. Hare had Camaro5.com hats made up and every car owner who wanted one got one. Bruce Raymond of Raymond's Alignment and Motorsports gave away T-shirts, Valvoline provide hats, tote bags for all and a case of motor oil as a door prize. SLP also gave away a prize as did some of the other vendors but its not mandatory but just a nice gesture.

We had cars everywhere. I think our final count was around 65 cars and there was well over 100 people in attendance.

I think about the only way to truly have this be better than last year would be to have the temp about 5-10 degrees cooler...it was HOT last year! I can't wait, it's going to be a blast, plus my car should have a few tricks up its sleeve by then.....

You know, I really don't recall the heat at all. What I do remember was a small chance of an am shower but it was so light it didn't count. When it comes to outdoor events, all you can hope and prayer is a dry day. We had clear blue skies with a few whispers of sirrus clouds and there was a breeze and of course Hare had the Service Bay open to step in to cool off as well as the Show Room. No rain, I can't complain, I'm hoping for the same.

rocketman 12, you giving up any hints on the new goodies we can look forward to?
