Yea, need to file a report and then get a quote and then see how much insurance will give me. Blah blah blah, all it really means is PIA for me. But on the upside, this could be the perfect time to get my wrap done...

I sent Dylan a PM about. Felt kind of silly asking him "will this buff out?" But it's a legitimate question unfortunately.

You need to get a close look at it and see if the scratch goes through the clear coat. If it does not go through the clear coat, then it will buff out.

You need to see if it is paint left on your car or a scratch in your paint. Get a magnifying glass and have a close look.

I think you should drive it to a body shop that you trust and ask them to have a look at it.

I'll definitely take a closer look at it in a bit - heading over to meet with the officer in like 15 minutes. Only problem - I don't know of/trust any body shops in my area.

Honestly don't know what I did to piss someone off. My best guess is some drunk idiot thought it would be funny.

Welcome to the nightmare that has been my day. Unfortunately no, I'm the only 5th gen in the entire town. Which is why I go out of my way to make sure I do NOT piss people off. Apparently I missed someone though. I don't actually know for sure if I'm covered. I have full coverage, but I've never had to file a vandalism claim. I'm just putting faith in my insurance agent.

Met with the officer, he was very nice. He actually got a kick out of my license plate, which was nice as most people just give me a weird look. He took my statement and is filing/filed a report. The officer checked, and both scratches caught his fingernails. He put the estimated damage at $1,000, though he said he was pretty much guessing with that. Heck, I don't even know how much it'll cost.

You remember my damage pics correct? Should be well under the $4,800 mine was. Good luck man, and I hope you don't get shafted by insurance.
