Ask for the dime tour.....

Talk to the painter: check (he may lie about the filter change but look for dirt in finished cars,
look at edges that were taped,
look for bad color match indoors and out,
what brand paint?,
ask questions and be nice to the painter & prep guy, save any conflict for the manager and adjuster,
body shops are kind of dirty as a rule, no prob, paint room should be clean and preferrably separate from body shop)

Call your car by name, that signals, "He's anal about his car", not a bad thing.

Ask adjuster if it qualifies for diminished value. (save this for last)
Thank you much. Couple of questions though, what's a dime tour? Then what brand of paint should I be looking for, I'm sure that there are good paint brands and bad paint brands. As for referring to Kaylee by her name, that's not a problem. I make it clear with people that she's not to be referred to as an "it".

Dime tour is generation gap speak for, "Can you show me your shop?"

Gonna show my age again... Last time I painted, DuPont, R-M, and PPG were the good stuff. Now a lot of shops are using an in-house system where they mix colors on the spot.... don't know who the supplier is but I can find out, or maybe junkman or tkrupinski can tell you what they're using.

The warrantee the shop gives you is probably as good as their work and materials they use.

No worries. my friends call me out when I say "y'all" so it's all good.

On a side note: I'm looking into getting an in car surveillance system. Got one all picked out, just need to pay for it. I first thought of needing one almost a year ago, but I said "that'll never happen to me - I'd just be wasting money." F*** that, I was young and naive. This happens again I will have it on tape (well not actual tape - they haven't used that since I was kid) and I will go after the punk until he is in his shower crying while in the fetal position. Then, and only then, will I let the black suburbans take him.

Why not settle for time served and pays for damages?

PS: I think you mean "fetal position."

Damnit. Thank you Professor, and to think I'm handing in a thesis in 3 weeks.

Well of course I'm going to let the law run its course. But I have to defend Kaylee's honor - what kind of gentleman would I be if I didn't? Hint, it rhymes with dustang mriver.

I still have PPG mix my paint. It's quality stuff and they get the match right. I usually take the panel right into the store.

You forgot a switch, and the kids need to go get their own off the tree in the backyard.
