Very cool Kaylee - The Carbon Edition.

Swapped out my fog light bezels too, and now I'm not one to complain about design flaws - but there is seriously something wrong when the hardest mods I do to my car revolve around whether or not I had to remove the fog light bezels.

Hydrocarbon vs real carbon fiber

and final result...

You getting slow with all that time off, to remove the fog light bezels is a 5 min job with a screw driver from the back.

But it looks good.

No worries, these rotors have been on my wish list for about a year now. Super glad I pulled the trigger and got them though, after talking with Doc and hearing how much of an improvement they make on handling I'm pretty excited.

Just need to figure out if its worth putting new pads and stainless steel lines on while I'm installing them.

I would definitely put on the SS lines, I know I plan on it. Every little bit helps. If you do are you going to go with Goodrich, Stoptech, Pedders or another brand?

Pedders more than likely, but I've seen a lot of people going with the Goodrich ones - and depending if/how much cheaper they are I may do that.

That means I also need to pick up some pads too. Hmmm, now I just need to figure out if I want to go with the HPS or the Hawk Ceramics.

I think I heard someone mention (might have been Doc) that the HPS will have more bite but still create brake dust, and the Ceramics lose a little of stopping power but create less dust. I would think to go with the HPS since you have the RB's that should dissipate the brake dust out away from the wheel, no?

Ended up going with the HPS brake pads and Racing Brake stainless steel lines.

Reason I didn't go with the goodrinch ones was because the description says they are teflon lines wrapped in braided stainless steel. Which made me picture that they were essentially OEM lines (I know Teflon and rubber aren't exactly the same, but they're close) wrapped in stainless steel for "prettiness."

Anywho - the RB ones were cheaper anyway, so maybe I'm just trying to justify saving a few bucks.

Oh - and I have a 6.2 pound box that Nathan sent me supposed to arrive tomorrow. Nathan won't tell me what's in it, just that it's for my engine bay. But knowing Nathan, whatever's in that box will be pretty damn shiny.

Ha! I just discovered it's Goodridge, not Goodrich The Teflon they are talking about in their lines isn't the soft kind. It's PTFE and I bought some from another supplier(with SS and a clear coating) for doing the clutch reservoir. It's a hard plastic that won't expand and contract like the OEM material would. That's why they say you will get a more firm and consistent brake feel with that type of brake line(PTFE). I'm not sure if the RB's will include them, I couldn't see any information on their website about what their brake lines consisted of other than the SS that's wrapped around it. Maybe it's the same for all of them I do know that you have to work them a little more to get on over a barbed fitting.

WoW, I'm super jealous you got something from Nathan. That is so cool Yep, I bet it is shiny Post pics when can,

Nathan's "Project Cleaning the Clutter in our Engine Bay" thread is starting to get me into trouble.

Just ordered the TechAFX evap hose relocation kit (which I saw in Nathan's thread), and I'll probably be doing the evap solenoid relocation while I'm at it too. (post #57)

Also went ahead and ordered ARP bolts for the throttle body as well as the intake manifold. The OEM bolts look out of place next to the shiny ARP ones.

Got some new 60 watt DRL bulbs from Ofer and Gen5 DIY.

The Gen5 DIY bulb on the left, and the AAC plasma bulb on the right. Mind you, I had no issues with my AAC bulbs - just wanted something brighter.

So when going to install the Gen5 DIY bulbs I got sloppy and nicked one of the wires going to the OEM side of the connector.

Not the prettiest soldering job, but it'll do for now.

By the way - it was sunny and 70 degrees when I took these last two pictures.
