Got a call from the service manager. Apparentely I blew a fuse (yes a singular fuse). Somehow one of my lighting mods blew a fuse, and that blown fuse is what threw the 5 codes. I'm going to ask them to show/tell me what fuse it is so that if it does happen again I can fix it no problem. He said I was going to be charged for the fuse, which I'm OK with. Not a big deal, considering it actually was one of my mods that caused the problem.

This actually turned out to be not too bad of an experience. Really glad they were able to fix her up in under 24 hours though. Been driving an 2001 Civic and let's just say Honda's 60 time is upwards of 5 seconds. It''s like going from Filet Mingion to White Castle.

*Fun fact: filet mingion is a cut of the Psoas major muscle, whose origin is in the lower lumbar region of the spine and inserted on the greator trochantor of the femur*

Stealerships. Enough said.

"fuse replaced. Not covered under warranty due to after market modifications. "

Parts (aka a singular fuse): $4.16
"diagnostic" and labor fee: $140
Total: $145.38
Getting screwed by a "mod friendly" dealership: priceless

Now I'm not one to b**** and moan about not having a warranty. I'm tuned, I mod, and I understand the risks. That's not what I'm annoyed about. This is not about me having to pay for the "labor". It's about them saying that my lighting mods are what blew a TRANSMISSION fuse. WTH.

That's it. I'm just annoyed that my hard earned money went to a dealer rather than my next mod.

ACE Customs Two-Tone Leather Visors

There are two (2) T15 Torx screws holding the visor into place. Very easy to remove.

Next was putting on the visor cover, again very easy. It goes together with velcro.

Stitching is done in blue thread that matches the blue leather.

Installed
They installed back in easy enough, just the two Torx screws. Though I did notice one tiny thing that could be a problem. The velcro'd side is the pivot side, so over time I think the velcro may come undone. But it's easy enough to fix. Either or, they look good.

Comparison

Cool.

I've been thinking about getting the new sunvisors from Indpowr, but I had not looked to see how hard it is to remove them. It looks pretty easy.

PS: you need to clean your room.

Thanks Em, and yea because I'm the only guy in his early twenties to have a messy room I might make the switch to Indopwr's visors, though not sure yet. Need to spend a few weeks with these guys on and see how they work out.

Snapped a few quick pictures of my parts box fort.

Split drop lowering springs from BMR

Pedders RLCA fix

The box that the Pedders pieces are sitting on is holding the heritage grille. The box is full of Styrofoam peanuts so I thought it'd be best not to open it just yet.

Put on the black gorilla lug nuts yesterday. They look a LOT better than the OEM silver ones. It's also a really cool look on the wheels, as they are matte black and the nuts are gloss black. I have to admit though, I'm a little paranoid about losing the key to the lug nuts. I feel like that would end terribly. I will post pictures later tonight once I get home not to worry.

There is a code for the key that should have come with the lug nuts. That way if you lose the key you can call Gorilla and they can send you a new key based on that code. I keep that code in a file folder at home.

Also, I'm told many wheel shops have a master key for gorilla locks. (I can't confirm that though.)

yea I put the key on the inside of my owners manual. Though now the problem becomes if I ever lose my owners manual. Why that'd be nice if garages had a master key, I feel that would be a huge liability for Gorilla. Like if one of those master keys got into the wrong hands and what not.

I guess what I mean is there should be a sticker in the box with the gorilla lug nuts. It has a code printed on it. You can use that to get a new key from gorilla if you need to.

No not yet. I checked in with them last week and they are still waiting on the x-pipe to come in.
