If you make a change with certain things you want on or with the car does you number get changed and pushed back?

your event code will change (mine went from 1100 to 2051, 2050 is a change, the 1 means I have made one change in my order, if I was to go back and make another change it would change to 2052. etc...), but your order will stay put until it starts moving up the event chain...

TODAY FEBUARY 24TH-----BECAUSE INFO FROM MY dealer is not coming i decided to call that number-----i spoke to a very nice man---i asked him if he could track my order--he said yes but i added that i didnt want him to call my dealership that i didnt want to rock the boat with them------cause what they do is call your dealership to get the info youre looking for. then your dealership gets mad cause youre asking anothere source for info on your order. but after repeated attempts with your dealer to get info what else is one to do.

so i told him that i thought dealers were to submit their orders today.
for the week of march 16th to 23rd.

im number 2 at my dealer an SS/RS---number one is a v-6 on constraint----yet since january 3rd ive been at 1100 an as far as i know am still at 1100--ive gotten no word what so ever from my dealer.

the man at gm said he assures me he wont contact my dealer to get my status--but he will take him about an hour to call the depts. nessacary to track down my car--he took my call back number --an here i sit waiting again

Did the same about a month ago, they called me back saying car does not start production until 3/16, waste of time. until after 3/16 bit if u hear diff let us know

Welcome Kit?

I am new to this site, and I had no idea about any welcome kit that GM was sending out. I ordered my car on October 18, and I was curious as to what was included in this kit. I recieved a small brochure from GM, but nothing else.

Someone please help!! I am losing my mind trying to figure out what is going on with my car!

Check out this thread and do a search for 'letters" for more information. In summary, it's a letter with a copy of the lead designers early sketch personalized to you.

How long after?

I have never recieved anything like this... I am seeing people on here that ordered their cars weeks after I did that already have theirs and I am starting to get worried that my order doesnt exist anymore. I doubt I will be getting any sleep tonight...

It's supposed to be 60 days. Did you get a copy of the workbench order form from your dealer with a 6 character order #?

I think you can call GM customer service and give them your order number and see what happened to the welcome letter. I've heard in other threads that the fulfillment company sucked.

I contacted my dealer today and he said that my order was at code 3000. What does that mean? I am clueless

OK, found it. Thanks. I am a little relieved because I was worrying that my order didnt get put in since I still havent recieved the welcome kit. Has anyone else been at status 3000 without receiving a welcome letter?

What if I can't get any info from either source? I ordered my car Oct 21, and I didnt know my dealer was so bad. I dont want to cancel now because I dont want to be moved to the bottom of someone else's list....

GM needs to set up some online search. We should be able to put in our order number, and some type of identifying info, and get our status....This is stupid, GM FIX THIS!!!

Didn't get the letter yet and called dealer and said that the order hasn't moved yet. He didnt even have a order confirmation number. All he had was a preliminary order number that was 6 letters. Should I be worrying that my order hasn't been placed?
