FS: TVS 2300 w/ 8 rib and OD rear cog

I'm putting this out there to see if there is any interest. Everyone knows that Ted is involved in every aspect of my car and the blower is no different. It seems that the good ole 2300 is having a hard time making the 17+ psi we are looking for. Magnuson has even told us that we are well within the blower's limits but at 16psi or so we get belt slip. We are trying everything possible but just in case I want to at least get the word out that there is a very good possibility that this will be on the market. If we do find a cure then I will update this thread imediately!

I do love this blower to death and the only reason that it will go is becasue we, and the engine have outgrown it. It's makes gobs of torque right off idle and even at 12.5 psi it got my car down the 1/4 @ 10.19.

With that being said I guess we need the details. Obviously you will get the blower and every part that is needed for a quick install. Now I do have an SCT but I would need to check to see if I still need that. I don't think so seeing that I am 10 minutes from Ted and making any future changes wouldn't be hard. But again, I would need to look into it. The only other thing that would be needed would be the injectors. I traded mine in for the ID 850's. I'm know Ted will work with the buyer to get you the best deal possible on these. I may also be able to help with the cost. Maybe split the cost? Something like that. I also have the Innovators west 8 rib set-up and either a 3.2 or 3.4 pulley. Most of you that are looking surely don't want either of those so we could get you a 3.8 that with the OD rear cog would get you a "safe" 10 psi with great belt wrap and zero slippage. And of course, the blower whine is great with the cog drive in the rear. The IW is about 1500 with the blower pulley and the OD cog was $350.

And of course with this you will get the best customer support in the business today and help with the install if needed.

I'd like to get $5500 for all of the above shipped to anywhere in the lower 48. And like I said I will help with the injectors becasue they come with the blower when bought new.

Any questions just ask. I'll do my best to answer or just pass them along to Ted. Again, this is prob 50/50 right now. They still have a couple things to try first. But If someone really does want it then its theirs.

Thanks guys, Jamie

Do have a faster time with your built motor and more boost....but 16psi of boost should at lease 900rwhp with manual or 850rwhp with automatic.

No sir. The car hasn't been tracked since the forged engine was done. Last time it was tracked, successfully the car was @ 625 rwhp. That's was the best it did of 10.19. It also did a 10.3 and about 15 passes of 10.5. Then we went back to the track with some more rwhp, still on the stock block, and the 4.10's and popped a piston. Game over. That's when Ted did the new engine and that was last Nov/Dec. I'm patiently waiting to go back.

How many miles? How many track runs? Is there a way to have Ted or Magnussen verify that internals are working properly and within proper thresholds. My plan is take this install it on my A6 for now, and down the line cam, meth and crank up the boost. Let me know ASAP.

6k miles. Approx 30-35 passes with the blower. I would have to ask Ted or pm Jon from Magnuson and check but I would think if its working fine on the car now it would work fine on another app. But I do understand where you are comming from. As for cranking up the boost, how high do you want to go. We are having a hard time getting to 18 psi. Currently Ted is on the dyno right now working on it as he has been for the better part of three weeks. It made 14 all day long with zero slippage. But who can live with only 14 psi!!!

Planning on running 10psi in a normal application. Meth injection I'll probably up it to 12psi.

10-12 psi you could spin a 3.8 on the front and be money. No slippage at all. We are exploring a few things and just waiting for some answers at this point.

SSCS did you and Ted try a solid mount (no spring) belt tensioner, just curious to know if they work better or not.

We have one more option to try and then I think we will have to change blowers.

LPE has a 10 rib but at that cost it makes more sense to move up to a bigger blower. You would think someone would offer a beefier stock style tensioner that would work. There are quite a few LS3 vehicles that are running TVS style blowers.

Just because it needs it,

If I didn't have my heart set on the ZL1 i would highly consider this. Good luck, you can't go wrong with a product once Ted has touched it....

That's it, but I will be running two of them.

I dont know how to describe it. Some custom made billet thing that uses a different tensioner. How's that sound. I should market the f'ing thing. If it works I'll post plenty of pics. As it stands now we can make 17 psi @ 6100 but then it goes down the crapper!!
