Hubler Chevrolet has there 2011 Convertibles listed 20K over MSRP!!

Is this normal? I have just started looking for one..

Priced on demand.....I ran into the same thing when I was looking....1 year later I negotiated a price.....Is being the first on the block worth it? Sometimes!!!! Good Luck!

Go to this thread and find a dealer that is selling for MSRP or lower. Don't let them steal $20K from you!!!!!!!!!!! Do your homework before you buy. Know what you are looking for and what you are willing to pay and you will find it.

I have found a ton of them at MSRP...NOBODY buy those marked up cars, ever. Let Hubler know what happens when you try to screw the public. Keep them.

Both look to be 2SS one A6 one M6. No superchargers from what I can see. To each there own.

My closest dealer is asking 44 and 46 thousand for the 2SS coupe, hate to see what they WANT for the SS ragtop...Maybe 49-53 so thats why I drove 300 miles to save $6000.00 for my new ride.They have the same 2SS on the lot for 8 months now...I Wonder WHY???Northern Nevada.................Update 30Mar2011 2SS ragtop is $49,585+850 for prep+Tax&title costs I was right $50+ thousand for less car, less top, less horsepower

Don't give them a dime over MSRP. There are plenty of reputable dealers that will sell them to you for that.

Dont see why you cannot get even below the MSRP.After all it's the ""SUGGESTED"" retail price.I want to order my 'vert now but I think if I wait closer to 2011 buildout (around July) dealers will more apt to come down off the MSRP.

Geeze 20k?! I cannot even imagine all the mods you could do with that much money. Why not just save for the ZL1 for that much of a mark up?

Supercharger, sexy rims, go LED crazy, CAT, exhaust, CAI, and much much more!

Screw Hubler. Checkout Dugan Chevrolet in Avon. If they have one it will NOT be over MSRP.

You know, even though it my be ridiculous for any of these to be sold at a marked up price, it does make all of them more valuable at this time. Even for those of us who were able to get them at MSRP! So there is a good side to this unless you are trying to buy!

The lowest price I've seen for convertibles in Atlanta is $5k above MSRP. Two dealers in the area have several at $10k above MSRP.

Does this impact those individuals wanting to order a convertible? Does the dealer have to sell their inventory before another allocation is available for a buyer in the area?

Just curious how that worked.

Yeah, usually if you didn't get it in writing that you were going to pay MSRP at the time of your order, they surprise you with this markup when the car gets into the dealers hands. Bullsh!t I know

The first dealer I went to before the car was even into production told me about a $63K price tag. I told them to kick rocks and I always see this IOM vert on their lot now that I wonder how much they are asking.

Thats ridiculous!!! Now when you leave the lot instead of losing 3k too 5k in depreciation your losing 23k too 25k in depreciation. Just because you paid 60k for your car does not mean your going to sell in a year for 50k its still only worth what it worth (your loss). But as long as inpatient people continue too pay those ridiculous mark ups the dealers will keep charging them. I've only found one place hear in Nj out of about 10 that I went too that were thinking of charging a mark up they were still on the fence about they said. I told them dont bother calling me when the cars come in if they did.

I called my dealer yesterday. They have one silver/black stripes 2SS/RS coming in any day (auto), and one immediate conv allocation for another, both at MSRP: www.richardchevy.com
Dealers that charge over MSRP are theives in my opinion.
