Brands of Centrifugal Superchargers

I remember Paxton, Vortech and know there are several around. Does anyone know the actual manufacturers (not kit makers like D3) of the current crop of C Superchargers?

I've seen kits as low as $2,500 by ricer tuners, so I'm curious what the available units are. Not any plans yet, just trying to get a complete list to do a little research for my own curiosity.

The gear driven units are paxton, vortech and procharger. Powerdyne is the only belt driven that doent use oil. Rotrex uses a "traction drive" thats built for v4's and 6's. There may be more

Kenne Bell only makes twin screws or so I thought. From the video the blower looks like either a procharger or vortech.

That's what I thought too.......I called to ask how much the the intercooler piping and everything, but the supercharger would be. The guy said their kit would only fit the exact model of Kenne Bell supercharger they used.

The tune is the problem. I don't know of any tuning software out there for the direct injection Bosch system.

Word!!

When I talked to D3 they had no idea there was a company that could tune these.... that's why they went with the AEM stand alone unit. I told them Trifecta has been tuning these engines for months.

Ya, the D3 kit is actually reasonably priced if you do you skip the standalone ECU and do a Trifecta tune, apparently.

The HP and Torque curves may be slightly different between the D3 supercharger and the the STS Turbo; but, I would imagine it would be easier to tune than some of the custom twin turbo kits being worked on by a couple-few members here, because of the flow at higher RPMs with a TT setup.

The most recent D3 Supercharger kit threads had a C5 member who said they called the company and got a quote of $5700 for the supercharger kit for the LLT. 8K if you want the standalone ECU.

I've been thinking about it, since I live in California.

I couldn't tell you how solid the kit is, since it was developed for the Cadillac CTS 3.6 with the same engine and ECU. It would be fun to have someone with cash-in-hand and some time to install the kit and attempt to get it tuned through Trifecta.
