I bought it !!!

Hey guys thanks for your help. I drove to west virginia and bought a 2000 camaro ss 6-speed for 11k with only 17k miles on it. I just wanted to thank you guys for posting up and for all your help.

P.s.

The passenger side door panel speaker rattles whenever I use the sound system even when its on low. What could this be? If I have to take off the door panel, how do I do this? Thanks

Congratulations and post some pics.!

As for the speaker, it sounds to me like you possibly have a blown speaker. :(

Good luck with you SS and enjoy it.

sounds like either a blown or a loose speaker. easiest way to get to it to check is to pull the speaker screen off the door. it has 1-2 tabs per side that lock it into the door panel itself. you can take a flat blade or a screwdriver an pop the screen off to see if the speaker is loose or not. also you can replace the speaker that way as well, but you cant always get the right angle on the retaining screw for it. to pull the door panel, follow the steps in this link thru step 9. (cus step 10 and beyond is for the window motor)

http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor1.html

then you can pull the panel off completely to gain access to the speaker to swap it out. then reverse the steps to put the panel back on.

Congrats, sounds like a GREAT price!! It is definately a buyers market for these cars lately. I have been throwing the possibility of getting an 04-06 GTO around for a little while now being they can be had for great deals as well!
