take the already mounted 17inch bogarts alreay mounted on dr,s and give them 3-4 runs and see how it hooks for you...then if you want , we can mount the new slicks on the bogarts and give them a few passes...then you know where you stand b4

The 4L80 is definitely a sweet setup, especially if you put in a trans brake and 2 step

Hey D if you just wont some good track time buy some cheap 18" wheels with some DR M/T they will fit with no mods needed. It will be a hell of a difference over 22" with street tires,. But if your set on a auto trans go with the 4l80 you wont be sorry.

I agree with whats being said. For a stick car, slicks are the way to go. With my 6speed I could launch at 6000rpm with no issues. Radials are too inconsistant for a stick car.

I will be honest I still run a bias ply DOT slick with my auto just becuase I know they will work. I set up the trans break/2 step to 4000 and let the button go and and hold on!!!

What kind of torque (foot pounds) are you leaving the line with?

Roughly 580ft lbs on the Nitrous to the rear tires.

Dont get me wrong I have made some ok passes with Nitto drag radials. Hell I have a pic of me hanging the front tire and the nittos wrinkeling. But unless you have some really good adjustable suspension and time to get it dialed in then in my opinion the radials are just to hit or miss.

Although after these Hoosier QTPs are worn, I am really thinking about going back to the Mickey Thompson radial. Guys seem to have good luck with them.

Are you able to hook up all of the 580' lbs? At north of 700+ I'm having a hard time hooking up with a loosened torque converter.

Yeah with the Hoosiers its not really a issue at the track. Been a best 60' of 1.52. And that was before I put on the drag shocks. The nitrous is not on a progressive controller. As soon as the button is released all the spray is on.

A 1.52 60' is nothing to sneeze at with a M6!
