AAC Plasma DRL's installed

Finally got my new AAC plasma led's today and insatlled them in about 15 min. Just jacked up one side, pluged in the new bulbs and then did the other side. Zip tied the end up so it will not bang around and done. Didn't have to drop the wheel well or take tire off. I put a little silicon O ring lube on the base and it went right in.

I don't really know. There suppost to. I made the mistake of ordering a harness from Adaptive Performance a month ago and, aparently, got ripped off. Never got the harness or heard back from my emails. I have, as others, filed a claim through Pay Pal. I will try and order from someplace else and see what happens. I wanted the option to not have the halos on all the time as I think ACC's harness has.

If you end up canceling the Adaptive order I think fieldgoal is running another groupbuy right now.

Yeah, got an order in with him already. I started the pay pal dispute with Adaptive. With my luck I'll end up with both. I had a hard time tracking down fieldgoal or I would have ordered from him to start with!!! I have heard nothing but good about him and his product!!!

Yeah they do!! Now my wife wants me to put halos on her Mazda3. It's a little bigger job than just switching out the DRL bulbs though!!! She's starting to want me to start modding her car because of all the stuff I'm doing to the SS

Go for it! It is a really easy DIY. Just have to make that leap if faith with putting the headlights in the oven. Which does nothing to them FYI.

She doesn't get to drive my car. she drives well enough but her parking skills leave something to be desired. Her car is door ding city and I woun't even bring up her wheels!!!

Honestly. If you start nice and early Saturday morning you can have it done come the afternoon. Probably 4-6 hour job.

Thanks for the input!!! I have read some DYI's on the Mazda3 forum and it doesn't seem that bad. I was just figuring for silicon drying time. Don't want mosture or film build up on the inside of the lenses. She is also liking the 12" strip LED's on the bottom of the housing. While in there, might as well go hog wild.
I just had to go looking on the Mazda3 board
Should be a learning experiance though!!!!

If you get the "*slightly* more expensive exterior silicon the setting time is only an hour and its waterproof after an hour as well. Then curing time is 12 hours. I know I put my headlights back into the car 1-2 hours after sealing them.

Thanks, good to know!! Yeah, I don't care about a couple bucks more for the right silicon!!! If I'm going to pull it all apart in the first place, I want it to be the best job I can do!! I'll remeber this when it comes time to buy all the supplys for the job.

Hey my fellow southern oregonian! The lights look great. I just installed mine two nights ago and wow what a difference! I got in on the group buy for the fieldgoal harness over on MC and he shipped them a few days ago so I should see it maybe the first part of next week. I just told my wife that these lights will make the car unique and there probably wouldn't be to many around Medford with these bulbs. Now we will have to keep an eye for yours!

By the way I saw your thread about the Adams products over the weekend. I use them also and have for a while. Nothing beats them in my opinion. Have you been getting them from Line X on Vilas? They seem to be pretty good guys.

One last thing. Your pics from the Adams thread and this thread it looks just like my neighborhood we may be pretty close to each other and not even know it! (although alot of these subdivision around here look similar lol)

Well got the plasma drl's installed a week or so ago and just installed the fieldgoal harness yesterday. Have you got your harness yet? it is a well put together product and it wasn't to bad to install. The ground wire location under the fuse box it a little bit of a bitch to get to but overall it took about a half hour while the wife and family napped! Now I just need my AAC switch (scheduled ups delivery tomorrow!).

It really looks cool with the DRL's on with the headlights and halos! I had it out on the street last night about dusk and wow it sure looks cool! I have the interior led dome's and the led license plate lights and it just gives it a much better look than stock. So far I am glad I spent the money on the plasmas and the harness. Very cool little mod!
