Did the factory forget my windsheild weather sripping?

I just washed my vert for the first time today, ( its 40 degrees and I'm just getting the feelings in my fingers back). When I was cleaning the windshield I noticed that it looks like there should be weather stripping around the windshield. As it is now it looks like it's just glued to the frame with a gap all the way around. Just wondering if this is normal? Are the coupes set up the same way? Thanks.

P.S. There is ALOT of gravel and pothole debris on the roads in these parts of Jersey. I've been cringing everytime I hear it machine gunning under the car and in the wheel wells thinking I was going to have a TON of stone chips. Good news is I didn't find a one! I'm still getting a clear bra on next week though. The cheapest 3M price I could find was $1100. I'm getting the CLEARSHEILD and it's $665 installed. Im getting the following areas done: Upper and lower front bumpers, across the leading edge of the hood about 18 inches from the leading edge, mirrors, rocker panels, behind the front and rear tires and where the rear fenders flare out by the gills. I thought it was a pretty good price, anyone ever use clearshield?

SSAINT - I live in Pittsburgh, the pothole capital of the world - I know how you feel about stone chips. I had the molded mud flaps installed. Color matches perfect - does not come in the synergy green. They look decent and really protect the car.

I bought the color matched guards as well I have not had the time to install them yet. Maybe this weekend I gotta get to it soon so I don't get chips.

Do you think everyone should get mudflaps or only if you come in contact with loose gravel/pavement a lot? I don't think I do since I drive city streets and we don't have winter weather that tears up the streets.

I would suggest putting them on, it definitely helps with the chips and I personally think it looks good
