Lexus LF-A

So what's with it? There were the two concepts, then tons of spy shots, plus there was a LF-A race car @ the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, and it just faded off..are they making it, or axing it like they did with the NSX?

P.S. - Dead NSX =

Funny how people call the Volt vapor-ware, but the LF-A...

Too bad about the NSX. Looks like Mazda and Nissan are the only Japanese firms that car about performance and sportiness. That's why they have products on my list right behind the Camaro.

RX-8, Mazdaspeed3, and obviously the MX-5. Mazda is the most enthusiast-oriented Japanese brand.

See my post above. They make the best selling sports car in the world, and it is widely regarded as being a benchmark in mechanical feel and driver involvement, especially for the price.

MX-5 are for midgets! Not really a good car maybe for handling. I wouldnt know because I cant fit in one my head sticks out over the roof line and I cant get my left leg in.

Not sure what you mean, there are other cars out there with V10's.

I was thinking of this one.

Although, I'd rather have this V8.

Well that doesn't mean it isn't an enthusiast oriented car. It is regarded as the benchmark for steering feel, driver involvement, and handling. And it is RWD. Sadly it is a bit lacking in power, at least by American standards. I'd love to see the Mazdaspeed3's engine in there. It is the same story for the RX-8. Great driver's car, but a bit lacking in oomph. If the rumors are true, that should be more than corrected in the next generation. And then the Mazdaspeed3 has plenty of go, and it turns, but it is Wrong Wheel Drive. But yeah, just because you can't fit in an MX-5 doesn't mean it isn't a driver's car. When I sat in one it just felt soooo right, and all I wanted to do was take it on GMR. Fine car, it is.

what is wrong with some of you? are you 5 feet tall and 120 lbs? I don't think there's anything wrong with that honestly, but I don't see how being in such small cars can feel comfortable or satisfying.

mazdaspeed, unless I'm missing something on their website, is a clown car mixed with a station wagon.

So because I can fit in a smaller car (I'm 5-8 and 130 lbs) there's something wrong with me?

Seriously, this place is slipping. I've long said this is the best forum on the internet. We have a great community of responsible posters. But this fanboyishness against all other cars is just getting out of control. People, other companies make good cars too. Some Japanese cars are actually good. Get over it. The world does not begin and end at straight 1/4 miles and big V8s. If I'm going to be insulted for saying good things about other cars in the "other cars" section I may not be around here much longer.

We need to make a sticky thread for all the new people joining and make it mandatory for all of them to read about rules and manners.
Some just don't understand good manners. It's been getting worse everyday.

LOL I'd like to see you go against my mazdaspeed 6 buddy! Your lumina would be toast! And the speed 3 is faster then my car. Mazda does make good cars their mazdaspeed series are fast cars. They handle and stick to the road like stink on s**t. I didnt say a miata was bad, I just think there is a lack on size and power. I'm not that tall 6'3". I dont fit in an S2000 either, but I do barely fit in the passenger side with the top off. That car is pretty awsome also. I just wish they would make convertibles for someone my height. Anyways, I didnt mean to offend anyone JMO.

Sorry to and keep talking about Mazdas, but I just test drove my mom's new Mazda3. She got an 08 Grand Touring, and she let me take it out on San Gabriel Canyon road, which connects to Glendora Mountain Road, for those of you who know about that. Anyway, gotta say, that is the one FWD car I will consider. The steering was dead accurate, good feel, no dead spot. It hardly felt like a FWD car at all. It obviously doesn't have the appeal of the Camaro, but Mazdas are certainly next on my list. If something doesn't work out with the Camaro, like all the reviews are wrong and it handles like a boat, I'd look into them.

I would be so happy if they brought the RX-7 back. I've always had a soft spot for them. They gorgeous, and amazing to drive. Too bad there are hardly any stock RX-7s left in the world.
