That may be my favorite magazine project car of all time. Do you know about what they have in it... or, more to the point, what it would cost to build one just like it? Actually, lets say build one just like it minus the super mega-dollar paint job.

It is a great build!

These later 2nd gen Camaro’s are still fairly reasonable and some are still in decent shape. We just looked at Craigslist ads and found a great candidate for $2,500 that looks comparable to what Hot Rod started with and really nice one for $14,000.

Throw in an LS3, 6-speed, brakes, rearend, and Hotchkis suspension. It add up, like any project, but you'd end up with a fast and fun car.
