No sub. 9 speakers 1 center, 4 on the doors, 2 2way coaxial 6x9(they consider 1 2way 6x9 2 speakers for some reason). Yeah I thought there was a sub also. Too bad, but I guess there always aftermarket.

I was just thinking, someone mentioned a 7" subwoofer.

I don't know that I've ever seen a 7" subwoofer. I've seen an 8" though. I'm not saying they don't exist or anything, I just don't think I've ever seen one.

Oh, and someone posted a pretty good pic of the back deck in another thread:

Visteon and Boston Acoustics to Complement 2010 Camaro With Sophisticated
Premium Audio

VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich., Aug. 12, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Visteon
Corporation (NYSE: VC) and Boston Acoustics will deliver refined performance
in the audio system that accents the redesigned 2010 Chevrolet Camaro -- a
performance car that embodies the passion of the past and present.
(Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20001201/DEF008LOGO )
The two companies are engineering a premium audio system for the Camaro's
re-launch that is tailored to suit the Camaro's legacy -- starting with
precision speaker design. Boston Acoustics, creator of The Boston Sound for
home stereo systems, is engineering speakers for the Camaro that are robust
enough to handle high power and loud play, yet capable of reproducing the
finest acoustic details. Powering those speakers is Visteon's high performance
and state of the art, DSP amplifier. From there, audio integration engineers
from Visteon and Boston Acoustics carefully tailor the equalization to the
Camaro's specific interior configurations to accurately reproduce the Boston
Sound within the vehicle -- transforming the vehicle into an acoustically
ideal soundstage. Fabrics, seat placement and instrument panel materials are
just a few of the many variables considered when fine-tuning the quality of
sound reproduction for the vehicle's interior.
Offered as an option, the premium Boston Acoustics audio system will allow
consumers to hearken back to glory days of Motown or experience the pulsation
of today's techno music with digital-signal-processing enhanced sound quality
that was unheard of until now.
"Visteon is honored to play such an important role in the redesign of a
true classic," said Julie Fream, vice president, Visteon GM customer group.
"Using advanced automotive audio technologies, Visteon and Boston Acoustics
are creating a polished, dimensional sound stage that will provide as powerful
an impact as the re-introduction of this iconic vehicle. This is truly a
sports car for the 21st century."

I was also hoping there would be some sort of under rear dash mounting of a couple of 8in subs or something like that. I like subs but am not willing to block the hole from the trunk to the fold down back seat. I think that is a great option. I don't need the glass shattering bass from honkin' subs but hope those 6X9s in the rear along with the door speakers can provide enough bass to get that warm low end with just enough thump that I require. My wife's Envoy has a Boze system that puts out incredible low end without the use of subs so there's hope. The write-ups on the BA are encouraging. We'll just have to wait and see...

The MTX sub really cheapens the car IMO. Why didn't have a BA sub option to keep it clean....so weird. I love BA subs.

actually your wifes envoy may have have a 10 or 8 sub under the middle console..not sure about envoys but my 08 tahoe had a huge console in the middle and under the entire console not even accessible or even visible.it created an incredible sound for that truck.. my camaro now vibrates the rear view mirror so bad at times that you cant see through it. i have a small medallion hanging from a simple small black string. and it actually vibrates the two strings soo much it looks like the car is playing the bass itself.. check the stats on that envoy and see if there is a hidden sub under the console..my tahoe also had the bose system and the sub was bose too. just wondering.
