DIY: Sequential tail lights

Finally i made it the way i wanted)

all analog attempts failed because of outer bulb turn off duration (it turns off at the same time with inner)

So i used arduino and 2 double relay modules plus dc-dc converter

Nice. That's how I started with my prototypes a couple years ago. I opted for solid state components in my final design for reliability and longevity. Relays have a limited life span (plus they're noisy).

You can check out my build here:

Took me a couple years (in my spare time) to perfect it, but it's fully protected and reliable.

I take it you're drawing directly from the battery as well?
