how much would it cost to put a new cam and a carburated intake on the ls3 because gmpp has the ls3 with a bigger cam and carbs and it make 515 hp and 4 69 torque that is 10 more hp than the ls7 and 1 pound torque less than the ls7

You could get the same results with your fuel injection for $3-500 worth of cam and springs plus a tune.

carbs arent crap. they are older technology. and they are more difficult to tune. but they can also be more powerful than an efi setup.

it can go either way. but efi is a hell of a lot easier to tune.

not to rob the thread, but why does a carb sound so much better than efi?

just so you know, with an aggressive cam only and supporting mods(headers intake exhaust), c6 ls3's have made over 500rwhp, probably around 550 at the crank. You dont need a carb. I wish i had the link and dyno chart to support this but dont feel like looking. You could probably find the specifics if you browse the vette forums.
