Talking BMR Driveshaft Safety Loop $129.95. NHRA Required For Running Under 12.99 1/4 Mile.

NHRA safety regulations requires a front driveshaft safety loop for any vehicle running faster than 12.99 in the quarter mile. The Fifth generation Camaro practically does that right off the showroom floor! BMR builds their loops from NHRA legal 1/4" steel and the unique design bolts into place using 2 existing mounting bolts and 2 new ones provided with the kit. Installation is simple and can be performed without removing the exhaust.

Ordered one... hate having to buy stuff that doesn't make the car faster, but safety is necessary. Not looking forward to the cage at all!

This is an excellent easy to install kit and a must for saftey on the strip or the street. A drive shaft breaking at speed is about as scarey as it gets. Small price for the peace of mind it gives.

Right off the showroom floor the Camaro SS is flirting with needing one just to be able to play at a NHRA certified track. Even if that were not the case it is cheap insurance against turning your car into a pole vaulter.

Will this still fit up properly on cars with aftermarket exhaust setups?

We have not had any issues with these safety loops interfering with anything.

I have the DSS alum. one piece shaft. Will this work with that? I believe its 3.5" diameter.

If so, I suppose I should get one these.

ALSO:

Who all makes engine mounts that you sell? What are the costs? Pfadt is a bit pricey for me and we had our differences at C5F1 so if i can avoid them, I will.

THANKS!

The answer to that question is that I do not know. I would assume that it is configured differently but I will defer to BMR on that one.

The only reason is that we have not had the opportunity to test one on a V6 manual. It could very well fit as is or may only require minor modifications. If anyone local to Tampa, FL is willing to drop their car off for the day so we could test-fit/modify/fab one, we could make it worth their while.
