Reaching 600hp without blower?
I'm not an expert on cars by any means but I know my way around them a little bit. I was wondering if it's possible to reach 600 RWHP without the use of a blower on the LS3. The only rules are you have to use the LS3 and you cant put a turbo or supercharger on it. What is the max horsepower you guys think can be achieved at the wheels?
Edit: no nitrous and running premium pump gas

A lot more than you think there are N/A LS1's that are close to 700 hp

it won't be cheap.....but can be done....it's all in the heads..and air flow in and out of the engine...

Getting there should not be an issue, getting there cheaply and with a car you would want to drive anywhere would be the challenge.

I pretty much just did most of that except bore... didn't quite get to 500. Don't really have a daily driver anymore either...
100hp is about all you can hope for with heads and cam combo. Also add a pulley to that list. |

My heads/cam Ls3 made 540ish. That's over 600 fwhp.

Stroke it out to a 419, throw compression, larger valves/ head work/ high lift cam and tight separation, run E85 and you can do it with out spending 25k.
