Talking My new BAD AZZ Spoiler Solutions wrap around rear spoiler!

Hey Guys......here are some pictures of my new Spoiler Solutions wraparound rear spoiler. I just installed it yesterday and I gotta say it is BAD AZZ!!! I think the Chevy Dale Earnhart style is going to be to high for my tastes and I didn't want the third eye! I think this one is just perfect!!! It came painted and bolted and taped right on! The only minor modification I had to do was elongate a couple of bolt holes in the deck lid. It was a cinch!
Anyone want to buy my old SS spoiler!
Here are some pictures...

Interesting look! Kinda reminds me of the old 2nd gen Z28 spoiler, but with a modern spin on it. Not sure that it's for me, but it def does look pretty cool on your ride man!

It does remind me of the 71-73 three piece spoiler, but the 71-73 had a better fit and disappeared into the body from the rear. The 5th gen body does not lend itself to that kind of fit. For now I will stick with the factory spoiler.

I wouldn't say it had a "better fit and disappeared into the body" by no means, but it was great for it's day. This new one is distinctive and different.....and I wanted to set my SS apart from the pack. Whether or not people like it is all subjective. But I is a liking it alot!!!!

not my taste but it looks great. Excellent finish on your car btw. Can see the wreath on your garage clearly. The Junkman would be proud

I installed one of these last night. none of the holes lined up, the paint was chipped in a few places, fitment was off ... made it work, but not happy with the quality at all.

if there was another spoiler I liked as much I would have just sent it back .. : [

Wow...bummer.....I had the total opposite experience. I did have to elongate a couple of holes...but not bad at all. My fit and finish was top notch, sorry to hear about your deal.
I would have e-mailed Garth at Spoiler Solutions thru E-Bay if you had those issues before putting it on. He would have made it right...great guy great service!

i got the larger one,

Did you use the screws to mount it, or just the tape?

None of my holes line up either. . .but the paint looks great.

I need to get some tiger hair, fill in the holes and redrill.

there's some installed pics of my spoiler. despite the shortfalls (and the inability to communicate with the seller), I still think we have the best looking spoiler on the market at the moment!

I'll just suck it up and buy a touch up paint pen and I'll be content.

That is a really nice spoiler. I'm going to have to consider this as an alternative to the GMPP spoiler.

4 bolts for the center part of the spoiler and just 3M tape for the 2 side pieces. Easy Peasy.

Dude....your SS looks AWESOME! And you are right...our spoiler is definatley "styling"!
I'm telling ya Garth, the owner of Spoiler Solutions, e-mailed me back and forth regarding my transaction AND set me up with their installer for installation tips! I just contacted him thru e-bay and it was gravy from there on.
Again,,,,,your white SS looks amazing! I'm having Pfadt make over this Tuesday! Check out the link!

No way I'd put this thing on if it comes in as bad of shape as some of you are reporting. You shouldn't have to fix around someone else's shoddy workmanship when you're paying good money for a product. I'd keep sending it back til it was right.

ok, so the holes lining up is apparently a no issue.

here's my response back.

Quote:
Hello, it should be no problem to get you going. The black plastic strips are for trunk lids with no holes. Since your lid is already drilled you do not need them. The pre-drilled holes where set up on a 2011 car, Perhaps for what ever reason each lid is drilled a little different. Here is what you need to do. Position the center spoiler section where you need it. Secure it either with some ones help or with the double sided tape. Now that it is positioned you can drill into the base of the spoiler through your exsisting trunk mounting holes holes, just be sure to use a drill bit that is not to big for the screws you are using. The spoiler has an embeded metal plate so putting new holes in it is no problem. Just be sure you take it easy drilling so you do not go through the top if using a long bit. Just hand tighten the screws to prevent from messing up the self tapping holes. If this makes no sense just give me a call, now if you like (888-290-1288) and I can help clarify. I asked the manufacture to place extra tape on the side pieces, the more the better if you have some extra laying around. Some have a body shop pull the tail lights and drill a large access cut out to screw them. You know custom always has some fun to it.. Regards, David - Classic Generaion 888-290-1288
One thing I am also doing is getting some (i forget what it's actually called). . .but the stuff the stock spoiler has around the holes to not let water in the deck lid

if the intent is to drill new holes for the install - great, he should have provided instructions though. that's what we ultimately ended up doing out of sheer guess work.

could not get him to respond to me through ebay. looks like others had more success with communication : )

I think I'm the first to complain. everyone's been pretty happy with it so far. the packaging job looked pretty good but oddly enough both ends of the center spoiler piece had a chip in them. could have gotten roughed up during shipping, but they were adequately covered with bubble wrap on the tips so it's hard to say.

Yeah that is weird. The paint and finish on mine was flawless.
Dude.....your white SS is flawless!

thanks pal - your car looks great as well! I wish I had your wheels

I had a black 68 camaro as my first car and OMG @ trying to keep it looking good. when I went looking at the new camaros I instinctually looked at a black SS and the dealership had already swirled up the paint.. thought maybe the other end of the spectrum would be easier to maintain. boy was I wrong.

maybe I'll look into a dark gray color or something next time.. : P
