Front Mesh Grill? revolution styling?

Hey all,

I was looking for a front mesh upper and lower grill. I did see one from revolution styling it was in the "Camaro Now" Mag.

Any others out there and what are the prices? I have a Black Camaro so a Black mesh would be much perfered.

Thank you all for your time,
Bill Baranowski

Ive asked around about the revolution grills and to my knowledge there were only 4 or 5 made. I know of someone that has one and wants $1000 for the upper and lower grills.

haven't heard anything myself. i wouldn't mind a mesh grille either. i've decided to go another route though since it's not offered, or i can't find it.

That looks like a heritage grill with some chicken wire behind... I can make you one for 1000 if you want, however I would be making like 700usd in profit

Depends on what the mesh is made out of honestly... to get good mesh in stainless would cost much more than $12! But $1000 for that is a little high but not completly unreasonable since these wouldnt be mass produced by injection molding like other grilles. Lets see, heritage grille $250-$300 (unpainted) Sheet of stainless mesh $200-$300 then 1/2 that for 1 grille so about $150 for 1 grille. Labor maybe 2hours for cutting and an 3hours if they decided to weld the edges. At $75/hour thats $225 labor.

So to make one grille not painted to match with stainless mesh would be around $675 for 1. Now that doesnt take into account that a company probably gets the parts to make these at a much lower rate especially if they order enough material to make a few of them at a time, so $675 would be the max at the full retail cost of things. And the $200-$300 for stainless mesh is for good quality top end mesh so I'm sure that can be had for less as well!

That means they are still making a $375 profit off each one or more if their costs are lower than I quoted!

Forgot to mention mine is made with mesh screen not fancy shmancy metal or anything. Mine would be the cheapest bang for the buck. Or you could drop 2 weeks worth of work and dish out over a grand and get the fancy stuff.

I used to use the chicken wire mesh (AKA ricer grill) to try and make my '96 Civic look cool back in 2000. It was available in several colors at Kragen/Checkers/O'reilys for $11.00.

Im just saying that I am assuming at that price that they are using nice stainless mesh, which can be expensive for good quality!

Can you just cut the heritage grill and put in stainless mesh behind it? Looks like I can not cut the OEM grill with out it looking like I WELL....cut it up,
