Jeep SRT-8 = 425hp/425ftlbs torque...

Same as the SRT-8 Challenger...

Really, unless someone is really hell bent on the looks of the challenger It makes no sense to buy one over a camaro or a mustang for that matter. They are both far superior cars in every right and cost less when you consider that you have to buy an SRT-8 to even try to compete with either one.

Frankly ...Everyone who posted a response cares in some way shape or form...lol, It's ok! I understand your anger. I am not attempting to justify my purchase! It was justified when I slammed on the pedal of the Chally and it threw my head back in the seat like a muscle car should as the tires screeeetched! Thanks for the response but no thanks! I didn't BASH the camaro in any way.. I respect both cars, but obviously there's more PROs to the Chally that I listed that the camaro doesn't have/offer. By the way...that reminds me...I forgot PUSH button start.. (NO KEY)

Correct. Which means it's not a faster car, it's quicker. On a dyno a FASTER car would have MORE HP, MORE TORQUE, MORE RWHP, and a FASTER TIME....the Jeep just has one of the above. Tomato TOmato...whatever...lol

If you couldn't do this in your Camaro, you were doing it wrong. However, congrats on the purchase - to each his own!

You're bashing the camaro with all your little subtle digs. Just like this very post.
I don't care what car you buy. Enjoy it's your dime ,but why stuff it down our throat about how great the challenger is and also all the many reasons that the camaro is inferior to it. Bashing is bashing no matter how subtle. What do you have to gain by telling everyone on a camaro forum that you traded your camaro in on a challenger other than to try to get a rise out of someone.

If you see the spec comparison as bashing, that's just how you see it.. O WELL. If I wanted to stuff it someone's throat I would have started the post like "Screw the Camaro buy a Challenger" What does anyone have to gain in a forum...views, information, likes, dislikes, agreements, disagreements...etc etc This argument could last all year and I will still be driving a Chally and you will still be driving a Camaro. I almost bought an SRT8, but for one thing--the price. The navigation was the only interior thing I liked better on the Challenger. Why do you need a CD changer in the Camaro? I just use my IPOD and get more music that way than you can on any CD changer.

Granted, after installing Pedders Xa's I'm about the same total price, but my Camaro will blow the Challenger away handling wise (even without the Xa's).

Comparing muscle cars is like sex--it's ALL good, there's just some better than others!

Yea I broke my Ipod...sooooo I was really wishing I had a CD changer..but the MY GIG serves that purpose. The handling will always be better on a smaller car I understand that. LOL and to the comparing sex comment... Man that's another whole conversation, but I agree! Overall there's just some technology and other aspects that I wish Chevy would have implemented...

I'd love to run the Raptor. But I think the truck I'm currently running is just a beast too. Hummer H3T. Factory installed heavy-duty suspension and 33" rubber with some wicked mud/gravel tread. Not a problem to speak of so far, and I take this truck down roads made for skidders. Love stump hopping in it.

Both r great muscle cars!.. i didn't go for the Challenger for the following reasons:
1) Interior too spacious and just looks like a C300,
2) Price difference.

3) LOVE THE NEW 5TH Gen. CAMARO!!

Sorry but that makes ZERO sense considering that quick and fast are the SAME word! See links above. A Dyno will say whatever it wants to what matters is what the 1/4 miles says. It would've been easier to just say that the Chally suited your lifestyle better. It's still a nice car nonetheless.
