If you could change anything......

For those who pre-ordered a Camaro, let me paint alittle picture for ya:

You go out and check your mailbox, and there is a letter from GM stated that they put all the pre-orders into a bag and picked your name.

They fly you to detroit and tell you that you have the ability to change 2 things on the Camaro. What would they be?
This is what I would like to be changed:

1) The side mirrors. To me, and this is just my opinion, are too bulky. Comparing the concepts to the production line Camaros, the concept ones are so much more sharper. I dont know if federal laws state that mirrirs have to be a certain size. But as I stated, it is just my opinion that the production style mirrors are just to big and bulky.

2) Sunroof to a Moonroof. I changed my order for that reason alone. I assumed that the sunroof was a moonroof. I just think that losing the reverse mohawk for a bulky cowlick style window was a good move on my part. I would have like to have seen the roof window go into the vehicle rather than come out the top. But seeing that the roof from the rear window to the sunroom may not have the space to go into the car.

Those would be my changes on the vehicle. If you want to post something. Please try to pick 2 things that are on the production Camaro. Try not to pick things that YOU want on the Camaro, like more colors, NAV, etc. Just pick 2 things from the production Camaro that you would like to see different.

I haven't pre-ordered, but if I had:

1) I'd change to a 3:90 rear gear for the manual SS

2) Stripes-- I'd have them painted and go over the mailslot and the rear spoiler.

Cool, someone who can answer this question.
What is the difference in a Sunroof and a Moonroof?

And I would have them Paint the stripes and I agree about the morrors.

I also agree with the mirrors. in some pictures i've seen of them the glass is way smaller than the rest of the mirror, so why make the shell so big? also i would change the bowties to ss emblems, or at least would like to see the red bowtie make a comeback.

The difference between and Sunroof and a Moonroof is with a sunroof, the glass comes out and over the top of the vehicle. Moonroofs go into the vehicle between and sheetmetal and roof lining.

Camaro has a sunroof.

Camaro has a sunroof.
Hate to be technical, but that's not right. The Camaro, to the best of my knowledge, has a moonroof. The difference is that a sunroof, historically speaking, is opaque and a moonroof is made of glass or something else you can see through.

As for what I'd change, I'd make the Heritage Grille look a little more '69ish (if only by painting it the color of the body, except for the grille itself) and I'd offer something reminiscent of houndstooth for the interior.

Technically.... you are both a slight bit off... Venom though is really close.

"Sunroof" is the generic term used to describe an operable panel in a vehicle roof which can let in light and/or air. "Moonroof" is a term created by Ford in the 70s, yet is now used generically to describe glass panel inbuilt electric sunroofs.
Hmmm, so all moonroofs are sunroofs, yet not all sunroofs are moonroofs? Further clarification -- "sunroof" is the term originally used to describe a metal panel that would only allow light or air in when opened. A "moonroof," on the other hand, is a glass panel that can allow light in even when it is closed (provided, of course, you slide back that nifty fabric-covered panel to expose the glass).

1. LS7 motor instead of lS3
2. C&C on the 1ss

1) Something more to be done with the passenger dash. Maybe something like have "CAMARO" or "CHEVROLET" imprinted (not painted) there. It looks bland.

2) Larger storage area in the center.

1) GPS standard on SS

2) "long" (over the spoiler in the back and over the mail slot in front) painted stripes

2.5) (cough.. what only 2? ...cough fonctional mail-slot intake... why restrain the air flow while still making it look like it had an intake at the right place ??

I'm sorry...did anyone else besides me read this whole thing? It gets really hard to follow at some points. Bulky cowlick style window...lol?

1) Functional Hood, as stated earlier.

2) Fog light placement. Just not really what I was looking for. I've grown into it, but its still not my fav.
