Bolt on 16+ rear wheel horsepower!!!

Cold Air Inductions, Inc

Boost your Camaro's performance with the CAI Inc true cold air intake. This intake system surpasses many competitors with superior quality and craftsmanship while achieving outstanding performance gains. Peak horsepower gains at the rear wheel on otherwise stock 3.6L equipped Camaro is up to 15 rwhp and 11 lb-ft rwt.

Intake System Includes:
  • Aluminum Insulated Air Box
  • Air Box lid with 1/4 turn fasteners
  • 3.5" (88.9mm) Ceramic Coated Intake Tube
  • CAI, Inc. Cone Filter
  • Black Silicone Coupler / Stainless Clamps
  • Installation instructions
This is a direct replacement for the OEM air box. No modifications required: system retains the OEM washer bottle in the stock location.

Filter Boxes & Insulated Tubes

Forget all your preconceptions about how filter boxes and intake tubes look and perform. CAI Inc smashed those expectations, and your vehicle will never be the same.
  • Boxes are .08'' aluminum.
  • 3/8'' thermal insulation on the box prevents heat transfer and keeps the incoming air as cool as possible.
  • Each Air Intake is TIG welded by hand.
  • Clear viewing window allows filter inspection without opening the box.
  • Box opens easily with just a quarter turn for quick cleaning.

But the attention to detail and performance doesn't end with the box. They're only just getting started. Tubes come fully insulated with a ceramic coating, smoothed down to a high polish to facilitate maximum airflow. They even use a thermal-imaging camera to look at the filters and the temperatures at which it handles the air coming in. They also use dynamometer readings to make sure that they're getting the best performance from the machine. This means they know immediately that their unique design features deliver benefits that are real and measurable.

After you've installed the CAI Inc air intake, you might notice that the outside of the intake system is hot. Don't fret. That just means the intake is doing the job of keeping the heat outside the tube and not inside it. The aluminum exterior surface on the box reflects the radiant heat under the hood, while thermal insulation adds another layer of protection from thermal energy, absorbing it before it enters the tube.

The tube features a ceramic coating that continues keeping radiant heat from penetrating and keeps the air moving smoothly.

What does this add up to? The air inside the entire intake system flows swift and cold.

What's more, the exterior coating won't rust or discolor.

Pardon the rookie question but there is zero modification needed over stock correct? No cutting or anything. Just a few minutes and a screwdriver job?

Correct. This is a simple bolt on mod. No cutting or anything crazy.

Just the finish. The black intakes are ceramic coated and then black powder coated. The retail price difference reflects the additional production costs.

Is the MRT v2 axel back exhaust and the Cold Air Inductions CAI truly bolt ons that can be done by hubby and I?
...and nothing has to be relocated with the CAI?

Sorry if this is repetitive, but I just really want to make the right choice for a CAI and exhaust.

thanks!

The CAI is a true bolt on. It is very easy and does not require any extraordinary steps. The MRT v2, like all axle back exhaust systems, does require that you cut off the stock mufflers. It definitely is not a "bolt on" part.
