Update: Been pretty busy but I swapped out springs a few days after installing the 1.4". I replaced my BMR 1.4" lowering springs with some BMR 1.0" lowering springs (I had ordered both the 1.4" 1nd 1.0" in case the 1.4" was too low). I LOVED LOVED LOVED the look of the 1.4" drop but when I tried to chase down why it was a little bouncy I found that the rear struts were sitting on the bump stops. I cut the bump stops to give the rear suspension some room to travel and the rear of the car dropped another 1".

This of course was unacceptable. I called Apex and BMR, both had GREAT customer service. They said that I was pretty much the first convertible to install these springs and together we figured that the verts are probably too heavy for the 1.4" drop. They said to send them back for a full refund. The pics of the car with the black wheels is with the 1.0" drop.

Here are all my pics.

I love it! I have used them on dozens of 4th gens, unbeatable quality parts and like you said their prices are hard to beat. I'm all about getting the biggest bang for my buck.
Yes, the black wheels are just plasti dipped stock wheels.

Thanks!
I have a pretty steep drive way/alley and i didn't hit with the 1.4" all the way around. Our front clips have a pretty good angle on it. I think the V6 has even more of an angle so it should be less of a problem. If you are worried about it you can get their 1.0" front/1.4" rear set up.

Bumping this for the OP. I'm thinking about dropping mine as well, and like you, I have splash guards. Was the 1" drop enough of a drop or would a 1.25" drop be better? I worry about the ground clearance of the splash guards with the 1.25". What are your thoughts?

I will let SUX2BU give you the specifics but he originally started out with our 1.4" springs but ended up going to the 1" springs because the car was just too low. Keep in mind that he is also running a slightly shorter 18" wheel so that also will bring the splash guards lower to the pavement. If you plan on using the OE height 20" wheels you might be able to get away with a lower drop...

I recommend the BMR 1.0" to everyone. Ride quality is great, It actually lowered MY CAR a hair more than 1.0" probably closer to 1.2" so don't think it won't be low enough, customer service is second to none and the price can't be beat! (the ones who can beat their price are questionable brands)

Like BMR guy said, I'm on 18s with small diameter tires so that drops my car another inch. But I was on my stock 20s for a while with both spring set ups.

I did snap pics of the stock, 1.4" and 1.0" on my car so you can do a REAL side by side comparison of the springs themselves. Since every car is different comparing a car with 1.4" to a different car with 1.0" at different camera angles doesn't tell you much. This should really help people decide.

Stock 4x4 mode!

BMR 1.4" all the way around.

BMR 1.0" all the way around.
