I doubt that, any one can go rent a LT for for fifty bucks at the nearest rent a car. The SKY Redline will always be a show worthy vs the two or three V6 Camaro's I've ever seen entered at a show.

Damn, those Redlines are nice.

It's definitely surprising what they can do.

Honestly, that sky might well give a L99 Camaro a Hell of a run, the LT never stood a chance.
His daughters Sky would give a stock LS3 a run... Its tuned. Yes, that makes a HUGE difference. Stock-vs-stock the LS3/Sky race would be close for a while... eventually displacement would win out but light to light, the Sky is VERY potent!

I'd weight down the Sky anyday and accept that challenge. Its the torque dude... The Sky has vay more. Everyone goes on about how much HP the V6 has... whoppie doo... its low on torque which is all were talking about here. Torque wins the short race!

Though I am not a huge Sky/Solstice fan... we had one for about 1500 miles and it was... eh... ok. Auto/non-turbo so... YAWN... but the turbos are very rare and show worthy. A stock camaro (V8 or V6)... not so much.

Turbo vs NA? No fair Slap a turbo on the V6 and let the good times roll!

same as a mustang, a dime a dozen, unless you make it stand out, even then it still can't draw a crowd like a 2010. And the Redline looks like every Solstice...

So the post was about a mother daughter squabble. Each picking their own car to win. Suddenly it turns into "weigh it down" "Camaro draws more attention". Blah blah blah. Nobody was claiming the Sky as a better all over car. We have a Redline and a 2SS. Guess which one gets more comments and looks at car shows? Sky Redline. I've got a supercharged Camaro and there are plenty of better and faster cars out there. V6 owners, you've got a great car. Get over your self esteem issues.

Really? On a Camaro forum the Camaro beats out other cars? How about in real world situations. I love my Camaro but it's not the be all car of the universe. I'd trade it for plenty of other cars

Depends on if it's an RS or not. The OP's is.

Who gives a shit. The Sky is quicker. That's what counts. Unless you want run at the salt flats, i'll take quick over fast any day!

Ok peeps, quit arguing. People can have different opinions... Well maybe not on here but in real life. The V6 Camaro is an OK performer. Nothing spectacular. Just like the SS. It's ok... always room for improvement.

Redline is an AWESOME car! I remember watching it get unvieled and was super excited for Saturn (At the time my father was Regional Manager for Saturn in the West). I always wanted to get one and have an LS3 dropped in it.

Our dealer mentioned it. Something like a $40,000 option. We passed

Typical response. So if the sky was na, and they ran would you say give the sky two more cylinders? Theres a reason why they put a turbo on a 2.0 liter four cylinder, and not on a 3.6 liter v6.

Just sayin...the base Sky without it's turbo is weak. It's not really a fair fight between our V6 and the souped-up Sky. When you mod a car that much, and it's that much lighter, it's gonna be quicker. They're not even in the same class as the Camaro money wise.
