I feel really bad about the new car not being finished. I know 572 wants his new ride back but I saw a few things I couldn't bring myself to let go. I know one of the biggest reasons he trusted us with his car is to get things done right and I want it to look lik the factory did things when we are finished...but better!

That's the sign of a good shop. I would rather wait the extra time to have a nice job.

I'm still glad that I trusted 4RD H8R with my car!!! It's going to be awesome! He is checking every step that is done on the car, and if it isn't perfect, he's having them redo it. He is doing an outstanding job with it.

4RD H8R dropped off my strut tower brace and engine cover last night so that I can get them painted. I have to get rid of the silver.

The only question is how long the newly painted engine cover will be on the car. I'm starting to think seriously about a maggy.

Agree 100%, sounds like you have a good crew making sure its finished correctly. And you certainly have another nice car to drive while waiting should you feel the Camaro need...

I'll check back next week. Have a good weekend.

Congrats on COTW! Now, post some pictures of all the interior pieces you were having painted. I want to see the final result.

Thanks, and thanks for pointing me out to COTW! I was hoping to have it painted before then

I don't have any plans for any interior paint. I have been thinking about swapping out the side and dash panels for white, and then I'll probably have to paint the instrument trim and maybe a few others. White and silver don't go together in my opinion.

Maybe you are thinking about under-the-hood pieces. I'm working on the engine cover and strut tower brace now. It'll take me a few days.

The paint shop should be completed this week for sure. I'll keep this thread updated!!!

Thanks! My next change will probably be coil-overs to adjust the ride and height to my liking. The maggie will probably be awhile, or as long as I can hold myself back!

I have had the car for 5 weeks and I only got to drive it for 6 days. 2 of those were up on the lift getting suspension and exhaust swapped out. I want to drive it for awhile!!!

Sure. Local pickup will always be cheaper.
I have a set of silver panels from the callaway that the dealership swapped out for me when I bought the car. Never got around to selling them. I'll give you a good deal on them. I'm not 100% on swapping out the convertible's for white. I'll have to wait to get back into the car so I can try to visualize.
