I'm tickled to death that GM is releasing a supercharged production camaro. Thank you for taking the photo's!!! HOWEVER, could they (GM) please spend a day in the design department and try to clean up the routing of wires and hoses under the hood! You can't tell me that is the "best" layout they could come up with for the performance and asthetics of that vehicle.

I have a feeling there are several items that are "unfinished" on the car. The hoses are one of them; the fact that there are door lock switches on both the center stack AND the door panels leads me to believe that the Radio/hvac controls are going to be redesigned.

Have to say the car looks REALLY good in that color in person. The entire car exudes power and muscle!

Nice pics...thanks for the sharing. I was at the show yesterday and didn't eve think to ask for the hood open...nice. Maybe because I couldn't stop drooling so maybe she thought I had issues!

..and the inners fo the steering wheel. I am confidently optimistic that GM has a better wheel interior in mind for us and are waiting to reveal...

I believe that the unfinished features, like exposed hoses etc. could be cost cutting measures to keep the car at a cost effective level. Its not uncommon for a camaro to have rough spots here and there for the sake of affordability. As long as chevy can deliver this one for a hair under 50k then I say bring on "rough".

Great pics, thanks.

This is my first post here (been lurking for a while now) and I have to say I am SO FREAKIN' EXCITED ABOUT THE NEW ZL1!!! Ok...I'll stop shouting now. I will have one, in black and the license plate will say....wait, I ain't giving that away in my first post until I get it secured.. LOL! I was going to get a 2SS, in fact I just test drove one last week, but after reading about and seeing this beast I'm gonna wait with drool dripping until the release of the ZL1!!

Thanks for the Camaro-porn CE!! Those were awesome!!

Does anyone know how much (if any) discounts a 40 yr+ retired GM executive employee discount would apply to this? I have a close family member looking to purchase one.

this is a complete styling FIAL!!!! front is not tough lookin at all compared to the 2011 shelby gt500....and the hood is ugly, and the sideskirts are cheap plastic looking...the steering wheel has got to be a joke...and the back end looks just okay. it better out-perform EVERYTHING! or else it is a true fail.

anyone else think they could have designed the exterior a million times better!?

I was there - asked the girl how much it was, and she said well it's got the same engine as the CTS-V, so it may be around that.

No, besides the stacked foglamps, I think it's perfect. Just the right amount of aggression and restraint in the styling.

I agree. the front needs more aggression. I will also be buying the first aftermarket T3 / fog light ports as those stacked lights are ugly ... the port itself is nice, and it should be bigger for more aggression (however, I have a feeling GM will eventually make them as big as the T2 port or bigger as styling upgrades over the next few years of this car)

I want modern LEDs in my ZL-1 in those bumper ports... not retro light bulbs

@oldjedi i tried to get some info about the sun roof option but she said that they still havn't confirmed the options that will be available, that goes for automatic as well.

I also asked if she knew the power of this beast but all she said was 550 hp minimum

ill post more pics that i took at the show
So, let me get this straight. She opened the hood because you are cute. So, what does it take for her to let you in on the "price"?

The ZL1 is so hot. I hope they do a little bit more than 550 hp. Camaro needs to be more powerful than the Shelby or I think Chevy loses. It should be at least the same hp as the cts v @ 556hp. Car is still awesome
