Paint job woess

I purchased my new 2011 black 2LT on jan 20th. Its been snowyso my car has been very dirty.

Just got it washed and the weather is nice and I'm inspecting my car and notice a bubble in the paint on the top of the trunk. Its about 1/3rd the size of a dime. Found two more on thee car hood.

I should definitely take it to the dealer right?

Once again yes, I am just amazed out how many people have to be told to take their car to the dealer when they find faults. Is this the first new car for this many new people?

I would take it to the dealer and point out the flaws but wait several months for the repairs in case more bubbles pop up this summer.

Ouch- yes, most definitely take it to the dealer, and keep an eye out for future issues.

Question about paint issues on a used 2010 Camaro:

if I notice imperfections, at this point, would a dealer even give me the time of day to
look at it, or am I just out of the time frame to bring these things to a dealer's attention for fixing?

and yes, this really is my first ever "New"-ish car. 1 owner, 1 year old.

Never had a car under any warranty.

thanks for input. sorry for jacking the thread.

Dude I'm about to flip shit. I'm the OP.

Took my car in today for first oil change and to have them see the paint bubbling up. They said hmmm we'll take a look at it. Get a call two hours later and he says he sees other chips from rocks etc in the front. I said well this is on top and middle of the trunk, first how could a rock hit there and second why was it a bubble. He responds by saying he was able to peel it off with his fingernail. WTF does that mean and why would he do that?

Now they want me to wait until may 5 for some dude to look at it and thats thee next time he is in the shop, and hell make the final say. WTF whats my next step guys? especially considering this dude just peeled the bubble of with his nail.

Hhmm... I really hope that "Bubble" wasnt your clear coat, and youll now have a dime sized depression where there used to be clear coat. I paint aircraft for a living, but paint is paint. Typically the cause of a paint defect like that is improper wipe down before paint, and a contaminant was left on the paint surface, so that the clear coat going over it did not adhere directly to the paint as it is supposed to.

If it was a "Paint Bubble", as opposed to a "Clear coat bubble", well then.. you just all kinds of problems, and it needs a full repaint, cause if a "Spot" was improperly cleaned before paint, then probably the rest of the surface was as well.
