Arrow FE4 Suspension Conversion Packages! | 10-11 Camaros MUST HAVE! | JDP Motorsports

Hi Camaro5!

As many of you know, The 2010-2011 SS Coupe and 2010-2015 V6/SS Convertible used an inboard style rear sway bar that has endlink pick up points very close to the pivot points of the lower control arms. This design was very problematic and inefficient, causing the end links tabs on the rear lower control arms to tear through. This caused the OEM end links to deflect and break when stiffer sway bars were introduced. In 2012 GM recognized this short coming and implemented the FE4 designation. GM changed the design of the SS’s (minus convertible) to the style used on the ZL1/1LE that have outboard pickup points closer to the spindle and beefed up the front end links. The FE4 design is a much more fluid, effective and reliable setup that will increase performance without worry of issues or noise for years to come.

To take the guess work out of the FE4 conversion, JDP Motorsports has put together a package complete with everything needed to update your FE2/FE3 suspension to the newer style! All you'll need is this package along the FE4 style sway bars of your choice! (Sway bar options below)

JDP Motorsports - GM FE4 Conversion Package - 2010-2011 Camaro V6/Camaro SS - Part # JDPS1005

GM FE4 Conversion Package Includes
  • GM FE4 rear lower control arms
  • GM FE4 rear endlinks
  • GM FE4 front endlinks
  • GM FE4 front endlink nuts
  • Free Shipping to the Lower 48!
Note - The end link mounting points on the front struts will have to be opened up from 10mm to 12mm to accommodate the larger end link studs. This can easily be done with a 12mm drill bit. (Be careful not to over enlarge the holes)
Note - 2010-11 V6 and SS Convertibles require the full FE4 conversion kit while the 2012+ only require only the rear endlinks part # 22761221 and FE4 style sway bars.
Note - 2010-15 V6 models require a Camaro SS/ZL1 rear Brembo caliper conversion

FE4 Sway bar options

BMR Part # SB039
Detroit speed Part # 031412/042215

If you have any questions, please feel free to call, PM or email us anytime! Here at JDP, we install, use and test every part we offer. This means we have the hands on knowledge required to help get you setup with the right parts the first time, without all the guess work!

Best regards,

Tyler

Can you send me a PM as well for the conversion and BMR's (2010 Camaro SS)? Also, can you provide me the specs of the BMR sways? Size.

Thank you for your help. You'll be hearing from me. This will be my spring mod to go with my Xa coilovers, which I've had on for 3 years now. Is there any way to compare these to the Pedders Z-bars that were on the market and the Pfadt bars?

The BMR bars are comparable to the Pfadt and Pedders bars. Pedders bars were solid vs Hollow like most of the aftermarket.

Overall, if you're looking for the best, go with DSE. We've ran just about every sway bar set available and the DSE bars are the most well balanced and offer the most roll resistance of any set out there.

Tyler

What exactly does this mean:

"Note - 2010-15 V6 models require a Camaro SS/ZL1 rear Brembo caliper conversion"

Also, I've upgraded my sways to the Eibach front and rear. I'm not unhappy with the setup - and I've been keeping an eye on the tab with the intention to do the conversion when/if it became a problem - but so far I have noticed no deflection in the tab. Otherwise, would I notice a significant (positive) difference in handling with the conversion if I went ahead and did it with this awesome kit?

EDIT: I daily drive the car, no tracking. I do love a good corner though.

The V6 rear calipers have fitment issues with the outboard FE4 sway bar design. The calipers will have to be upgraded to run the FE4 setup on the V6.

If it's just a street car, you likely won't see a huge difference over a proper FE3 setup, but if you ever autocross and/or track the car, that's where you'll see the difference. The FE4 design is much more fluid and less "snappy" when making transitions; especially in slalom type scenarios.

One of the major benefits of going with the FE4 style for a streetcar is you don't have to worry about the tabs on the RLCA pulling through and these newer style endlinks are less prone to issues such as noise and breaking/bending/deflection under load.

Best regards,

Tyler

Hmmm, I just might have to grab a set. It shouldn't be too hard to install considering I've done all the other suspension work myself.

Yep, they'll all work great together. Don't forget the outer trailing arm bushings; part # BK006 and whatever FE4 sway bars you decide to go with.

Feel free to call, PM or email me if you have any questions.

Best regards,
