'79 Z28
Ok, lets try this again, I have a 79 Z28 that I need to get an approximate value on. I would like to possibly trade the car in on a 2011 camaro. This is a desert car from Nevada that is solid and has been garage kept since moving it east. Engine is bored .030 and mildly massaged for streetability, body is solid and interior is good. 148,000 original miles, less than 30,000 on rebuild, tranny is original 350 turbo with BM shifter, shift kit and hole shot convertor. Wheels are centerline/eagle st, overall car is in very good condition.

Shame you have to seel it - It's really nice looking and I bet it's FUN to drive
![]() Speaking from the Phoenix Area IMOHO - I agree you never get what you want with a trade - 4-5K should be easy to get quick. You say it's a Nevada car so I assume it has AC but just not installed. With AC and everything working passing emishions 6-7K I think working AC adds 1K at least to the value of any car.

I agree, Try and sell it privatly. You will get much more for it. Start with craigslist and if it does not sell there put it on ebaymotors with a $7000. reserve.

W/ things like the AC and such not currently working the car will lose value, but seem that the later second gens seem to have a stronger following these days even though I have never been a fan of anything past 73 until 2010. Good luck and like most have said don't trade it.
