I would be willing to bet that U could not thin the walls of a 3.6L anymore without suffering some serious head and cylinder cooling issues

At a current 270HP in the 3.0L and the now dead and ancient 2.8L Turbo pushing out 325HP without DI.. I'm thinking a 3.0L Di TT will easily get 400-425HP. Essentially we are only talking about enuff Boost to pick up another 130-150HP
The 3.6L can be punched out to 4.0L's as designed. So the cylinder walls are probably strong enough to withstand turbo'ing in a 3.6L. But it will probably make 500hp with modest boost levels-maybe GM doesn't want that?

WOW - I think I need to consider swapping up to a 2012...glad I didnt do anything motor-wise to mine yet. I can just swap my wheels on to the new one

Best thing I have read on here this year!!!!!!
DUDE. Same here! Our camaro's are nice but this is awesome. I may have missed out but its excellent that GM didnt just sit on its laurels. Its fixed what most "expert reviewers" complained about the cars.
These changes are good enough for me to consider trading up :-D

Any guesses on how long will it take for an enterprising person to retrofit the back-up cam/rearview mirror and the power passenger seat to a '10 or '11??

Probably a couple of weeks to a month from release.

Great changes for 2012, except for the 45's all over the place. 50, not 45, would be a good milestone to produce an anniversery edition. Just my opinion.

They'll probably do both. My '02 is a 35th anniversary.

It's interested about dropping RJT. A thread from a few weeks ago did a lot of RJT bashing. Quotes that it looked too much like family vehicles.

When I ordered my 2011 I was torn between Victory Red and RJT; not fully in love with either. So I went with IBM and SIM stripes. I would take the Crystal Red with Black stripes and interior.

I'm glad to hear they are doing something about the passenger seat. I drive it most of the time, but when I'm the passenger, being what's known as "vertically challenged" I feel like I'm sitting in a hole! I hope we may be able to swap out the new power passenger seat into the previous model year. That would be sweet!

Very nice, and what all car makers do to every car evey year or so. I'll keep mine, still take a bath on trade in and I've done alot to make mine unique anyway.

improvements for 2012 look good so far. It would be nice if they made the ss auto and manual the same hp, just like the our competition. Hopefully, on the interior the ss model will also have the SS logo's, not just 45th anniv. logo's. Love the rally stripe.

I like everything but, the steering wheel. And for some reason I thought the seat badging was going to be on the headrest.. Hmmmm. I love the red, white, and blue stitching and the 45th badges.

Like th4e new additions but wished they would have been on mine

I guess I should have waited but I just had to have a new Camaro. I bought mine right at the start. I also wanted my color of Aqua Blue Metallic that is no longer available....thank goodness!
Its likely I have less money than most every other Camaro owner but I wanted it, and made it happen.
The bummer for me is my dealer lied to me about accessories I wanted to add to my car later that were on the SS (I could not afford). He said they were easy and cheap to add, like the fog lights and gauge package. Now there are a ton of other cool additions I don't have. In 2 years I have added $10,000 worth of work and items to mine and now the car comes with other cool ones stock. It never ends....
Kind of a bummer. I would love the seats and trim in mine. My outside is beautiful and I wouldn't change it for the world, but I still don't have either the lights or gauge package. I was told $1100 for the wiring harness alone to add them.
Still I love my car, but I'm bummed they didn't think it through and add all of these nice improvements at the start. I guess because it keeps getting kicked in the magazines behind 2 of the other new muscle cars on the market. I just read 2 today and 1 lists the Camaro dead last!
I of course disagree but that’s just me.

A very nice addition to mine was having my car hand cut and rubbed last week $850. It shines as well as any show car now. I had already had the live fire painted on and an additional coat of clear sprayed on the car.
Love the new additions and the old ones....no... on the strips though...
