I got about 35 mins in before I left for work.

It is everything that I would want Portal 2 to be and more. Valve hasn't lost their touch at all, and has built on the groundwork laid with the first game.

I would definitely recommend playing the first with the developer commentary on before you play Portal 2 - for me at least the commentary highlighted things about the design and thought that went into the first game which adds to my appreciation of the second.

Can't wait to do some Co-Op tonight.

Just finished the game today, epic! Going to have to try to go find some of the hidden stuff on the second time through.

I haven't beaten SP yet, though I did beat Co-Op with a buddy last night though.

I have noticed that of the few negative things folks have said, replay has been called into question. With the Co-Op, we were focused almost completely on just getting the puzzles done, and we didn't really stop to smell the roses, but there were a few times where we stopped and were just in awe of the size of the virtual space we were in and how good it looked.

Same so far in my SP game, where the urge to see it through is stronger than to see everything...so there will be multiple playthroughs.

Those simple ones are often what trip me up too. I'll be trying to find some complex solution to the problem, then stop for a few minutes and look at it again and am like 'wait... no it cant be that easy... it is, DOH!'

Ha! I hear ya. I just beat it and started over again with the DEV commentary. Apparently there is 1 puzzle that is impossible as an easter egg. hmmm...

It's not necessary but it's a great game. It's only about 4 hours though.

For those that got Portal 2 or preordered did anyone get any Portal 1 gift keys from Steam? I want to try the game out and I hear steam offered a bunch of bonus codes out to long time members and those that preordered the game. Before I go and purchase Portal 1 I figured I would check with you guys here. If anyone has a spare they want to get rid of send me a PM.
