BMR or Pfadt Trailing Arms

I am ready to purchase a set of trailing arms. Can't decide between BMR or Pfadt.
The BMR trailing arms along with the outer bushing kit costs $190.

The Pfadt arms that include the outer bushings cost $239.

What are the pros/cons or each?

i don't know for sure but i think the price for BMR & Pfadt trailing arms with the outer bushings is nearly the same i think you post the price for BMR w/o outer bushings
any way i like both BMR & Pfadt but ill go with Pfdat on this one

Our trailing arms are 106 stronger than stock, have 17% less mass, and reduces deflection by 32%.

Lighter, stronger, stiffer and GMPP certified.

Coke-vs-Pepsi. I have BMR because they look better being beefy and red as opposed to looking like a cheap cell phone tower. I am sure the Pfadt ones are fine. Their prepped cars seem to do well. I have ZERO complaints about my BMR prepped car and the customer service has been stellar!

Thanks for the mention and your order. The good news is that if you are down to Pfadt or BMR you can't make a bad decision. You will not be disappointed with either one. We choose to offer both Pfadt and BMR because they build great products that do exactly what they say they will and if you have an issue they stand behind them 100%.

LOL, pfdat design is not only stronger but lighter... I guess looks can be deceiving. It's called truss designs, very commonly used in bridges.

Well, I certainly do not want to badmouth either company. I have purchased both Pfadt and BMR products in the past, and I think they are both top-of-the-line. In fact, my Pfadt Coilovers are my most prized modification so far. I chose to go with the BMR Trailing Arms because I wanted the spherical rod ends and I liked the boxed-in "red" look. But I just happened to run across this thread the other day (see link below). They're talking about a totally different subject, but look at the pictures in post #3. I can't say for sure what I'm seeing because the pics are so fuzzy and out of focus. But to me it sure looks like this guy's Pfadt T/A's are covered in little rust spots! If that's the start of some corrosion, it's only going to get worse with time. Also, doesn't it look like the structure on that one T/A is buckled or bent (towards the outboard side on the bottom)? Is that supposed to be like that? Maybe it's just an optical illusion? Maybe this guy used his car for doing Dukes-of-Hazard style jumps on salted roads??? I'm not sure, but at this point, I'm glad I went with the BMR T/A's!!!

I was literally picking up the phone to order a set of the Pfadt Trailing Arms that I saw at C5F2. Need to know if this is an issue. Thanks blazzin1.

We are glad to see to see people out there driving their cars in all conditions! There isn't a rusting issue with our arms, the powder coating we specifically chose is extremely corrosion resistant. We do all of our testing in Salt Lake City, where they salt the roads during every winter storm and have never seen any rust issues, ever. That includes our car and a fleet of local cars with our trailing arms installed.

The fuzzy out of focus photo appears to show some discoloration on the arm that are clearly road debris. Unfortunately when dealing with suspension components road debris are unavoidable and will eventually dirty every arm on your car. Bringing the rear trailing arm back to life is just a towel away!

I'm not entirely sure which buckle or bend is being referred too, but the angles we see on these photos are absolutely normal and are of our own design. The arm pictured is perfectly fine, perfectly healthy.

I thought that the Trailing Arms were powdercoated but I didn't want to trust my memory. Thanks.

Pfadt, when are the new toe rods going to be out, and any plans for a toe rod trailing arm package.

I've had my Pfadt Coilovers, Trailing Arms, bushings and Control Arm Stiffener since July '10 - outstanding design, quality and unmatched customer service in helping me decide what mods I needed. Along with my Pfadt Sport Sway Bars and Endlinks my Camaro rides curves like it's on rails and is always sure-footed when accelerating out of a curve.

Aaron and Blair are always there for you - I highly recommend them.
