The SRT = fun + sounds good. Camaro needs to be able to COMPETE with it. Why freak out because I enjoyed the Charger? I did not compare the Camaro to the Charger as if I've driven the Camaro as well; I simply said that it needs to step up to what's already out there. And why has no one given me suggestions on what to drive next? I am seriously looking to check out the competition. |

Just relax I was not meaning to piss you off. Just don't think GM would invest time and energy into the Camaro and not have it compete with other manufactures. Personal I would love to drive a Challenger, but $ wise they cost a ton more when I placed my order, but if I get a chance I will. My next car I hope to be a Vette classic being pre 73 or C6.

I used to do this alot, but have a good idea on the power I have a 500 hp car and 425hp one, the handling is what would be good to find out about, but my days are just to busy and on my off time I spend it with my wife and kid. The local Dodge dealer is a bunch of A's and the next closest is about half hour drive.

Cars like the Charger, Challenger, Mustang, Magnum, 300C, Camaro even Taurus and Malibu make me very proud of the Big 3.

For the record, I think Chevy will "bring it" with the Camaro. I drive a Mustang now but damn, The Camaro has it all over the competition. |

Well, considering the G8 GT already, generally quarters at about were the Challenger SRT8 quarters (obviously GT isnt as fast, but still comes around the ballpark), weighs alittle more than the camaro will, and will have less hp, (IMO) i wouldn't worry to much about the performance of our Camaro SS.
Challenger will be a fair competitor though and has respectable performance. All will be weighed and measured, however, once our Camaro hits the streets.Quote:

So go drive the G8 GXP, 370z, 135i coupe, and go test drive the Rx8... If you like anything about it, the Rx-9 will be better in every way.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."
