Ofer,
All the guys at the shop were amazed at my backup camera system with your harness. They kept putting the car in reverse to see he picture pop up like magic in my rear view mirror.

Very easy install; JimmyH DIY has all the information you need to install the system in about 3 hours.

I half installed mine. It was getting later on Sunday and I went out into the garage and started tinkering with removing the old mirrror so I decided to take out the overhead console and install the mirror and run the wiring down to the fuse box. I hope to get the other half done soon!

Is there anyway to tell which ones have the lines and which dont if I were to order from you? I really want the one with the lines so I would like to know before I bought it. Also does this kit include the mirror or will I have to get that seperately?

Send me a pm I want one of these. I broke my neck in a accident last july and had my neck fused and can only turn my head 1/3 of normal so I really need this. I have a 2011 Camaro Convertible. This will work in my car right? Thanks.

I love this backup camera system. Thanks Ofer!

My biggest concern in the install is removing the A-pillar near the air bag...what are the chances of messing it up or the air bag deploying?
Also, I'm a bit worried about damaging my trim pieces during removal...
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, there are a lot of cars that we have done this mod too, and in all that time have never had any problems with air bag deploying, With that said any thing can happen, You can remove the battery lead, if that makes you fell better, and the best way is get your finger at the to and pull.

Here are some good pics, in fig 6 & 7.

I finally took some pics of my backup camera and mirror with LED display today. I used Ofer's harness and the mirror he recommended (got it on ebay). I used a Sony camera (model Sony XA-R800C). It works great. Thanks again, Ofer.

By the way, I know some people have said they are worried this mirror is bigger than the stock mirror. It might be a little bigger, but I think someone could have put it in my car when I wasn't looking and I might have never noticed. I notice no difference in my view out the windshield with this mirror.

I agree Em'

I actually think I can see more under this mirror than the stock one. and I can see the entire rear window now.

Me too. I just have the mirror installed right now and I think it gives you greater visibility.

So here is a link to a template I made for the GM camera system only.

http://www.gmpartshouse.com/installdocs/camaro-gm-back-up-camera-template.pdf

For the larger square, on the outside, it was just about exactly the size of in between the license plate lamps. The inside square is the area needed to be cutout for the GM camera. The inside square drawn is slightly smaller than you'll need to have the camera fit through. I figured it would be better to start out a little small and then you can trim it and customize it to your liking.

Believe it or not I have a couple of hours into the template. The original was done on a piece of cardboard, which I traced to post here.

The small rectangle is almost exactly the size of each side of the camera bracket. I gave you that template as well. I wanted my holes to be just about perfectly centered, and on both sides, since I am OCD so I made the template.

This is for the GM camera system only. If you don't like my template, then don't use it
