Engine Compartment Lighting

Has anyone installed LEDs under the hood just for general lighting? I see a lot of DYIs for LEDs under engine cover or colored lights flashing but not lighting for the sake of seeing under the hood. I would like to hear from any one that has installed LEDs on the hood. Thanks

I have LED strips in my bay but just for show. They are orange. Grill lighting and one on the back firewall. A good drop light or flash light will solve your seeing job.

Ran wires from the cab from fuse box to a switch and out to the engine bay. Easy install. Hardest part is going through the firewall. Good luck.

We have a couple hood-pad spots that would work well for general lighting. One version is battery powered, and, the other is wire-in. Both are adjustable, as far as what they can be pointed at.
