SS Side Badges on 5th Gen

Does anybody know of any place that is making them? And if they do make them do you think putting them under the Camaro logo or on the front of the quarter panel would be cool?

Then again this entire thought could just be stupid.

i think they would look great centered under "CAMARO"
maybe folks that are de-badging their cars could offer them up.

God Bless Stephaine!

If you like it then do it. To hell with the people that hate on others for doin something they dont like. There are several companies that make the SS emblems. You could also try buying some cheap SS stickers and put them on and see if you like it then take them off and put the emblems on. That way you dont take a chance of messing up the clearcoat and save the money if you wouldnt like them. You could also order some factory SS emblems from the silverado ss, HHR SS, cobalt, or whatever else that way it more of a modern look.

I even like the old Camaro in logo for the quarter panel over the new ones. The one that is in italics.

The SS logos on the HHR look nice. You may want to take a look at them. I'm leaving the gold bowtie on the grill and back. I'm not sure if I'll leave on the SS emblems (grill and trunk). When I swapped out the original 283 in my '66 Chevelle and put in a "30 over" 327 I had a "?" painted over the "V" on the front fenders.

The most important thing is to do what ever you want...enjoy.

Former Rides:
1966 Chevelle (1971 to 2007)
!970 Chevelle (1974 to 1991)

Next Ride: 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS Red Jewel Tint Black Rally Stripes 20" Polished Wheels

These sound like fine ideas. These would better match the script on SS, so it'd just be a matter of how you wanted to orient or keep the "CAMARO" script. I was kinda' thinking about this some time ago but I don't really know if I want to keep the fender badging or replace it with whatever model I have.

I'm looking forward to people's thoughts on this topic. Kudos to bringing this up

Personally if I did it I wouldn't put it under the Camaro emblems. Instead I would replace the Camaro emblems with the SS.

I would remove all the new style SS emblems and Camaro lettering and go completely with the old School emblems, both Camaro and SS.. Side emblems and grill emblem maybe replace the center bow tie in the rear with the rear SS off a 69...
but then it wouldn't match the interior logos... so scratch that.. it was just a thought...

I plan on replacing the side camaro emblems with SS emblems from the back. I'm also gonna get an aftermarket grill without the bowtie and replace the rear bowtie with a camaro emblem.

This was my thinking, although the retro script style is a great idea too.

You can get the emblems for pretty cheap from Chevy...not a bad idea there. As for the rear bowtie....not so easy I'm thinking

I am thinking of getting 4th gen ss emblems for the side and to replace the bowties in the grille and trunklid because they look more retro. Plus the ss emblems on the car are too small for me.

I'm getting my badges from Classic Industries in Huntington Beach, CA. They are made for the 1st Gen Camaros and will look great merged with the new 2SS.

I know I'm not sure how easy it will be. It might require some body fill and repainting that panel if there's an indentation left after the bowtie removal.

I'd say for sure it will. Had this issue with my Subaru Legacy GT Limited. I hate badging normally and remove it promptly..with the Subbie..it was a ridiculous amount on the back. I had wanted to remove the Subaru emblem as well, but it just wasn't worth the time and effort. The manufacturers want their logos there and normally make it impossible to remove without body work

Go on Ebay and look for trailblazer SS, Impala SS, Cobalt SS badges etc. There are tons of them. Most sets of 4 sell for around $40. I also plan to add them under the Camaro on the front fenders. However I have not made up my mind of going for the new style or the classic old SS design.

I think the Chevy badge is bolted into the panel or something as well.
