Thank you to EVERYONE in the USA Armed FORCES - past and present!!

There's not a day that goes by that my family and I are not grateful for what you do!

You deserve the best and its great to see companies - like GM - who understand the people who defend our country SHOULD get more perks.

I support the discount and special badges 100% -

I like the idea of current Camaro owners being able to get the badge for your car

They should do MOS badges for TABS for the service members! I think a Sniper tap under the camaro letters would look sweet! This is an awesome idea though GM and as a veteran I say thank you! and my money is being saved for the ZL1....hummm sniper edition ZL1 that would be sweet!

Ummm anybody know how long this has been going on. I started doing the research and my dealer is a "participating dealer," I asked if there was a military discount when I ordered my 2010 right before deploying. My dealer told me no.... This is very interesting to me.

Too late, already bought mine (no Military/Retired discount, no nifty badge.)

Grats to my brother and sister veterans who get to have this deal.

You have to circumvent your dealer. Dealers alone might offer $500 off, like they do a student discount, but if you go to GM Military Discount first and then go to your dealer. This is different from AAFES, different from your local dealer incentives, and different from USAA (who also offer discounts to members). I've seen Ford guys buy stock to get access to employee pricing also.

From their FAQ:
Quote:
The GM Military Discount is available through all participating U.S. GM Dealers and is voluntary on the part of the dealers. Dealer participation is on a vehicle-by-vehicle basis. Please inform your dealer of your intention to use the GM Military Discount during your first contact with your dealer. If your dealer elects not to participate, you may visit another dealer.
Quote:
I recently bought/leased a new GM vehicle. Can I still apply for the GM Military Discount?

No. Previous purchases/leases are not eligible
I'm afraid your dealer will tell you you're SOL.

I used it back last year when they opened it up for retirees in May. I have to renew my DV plates this month, so I know they've had it for awhile. Good luck taking it up with your dealer.

Wow, my 2011 Indy Pace Car TPW is 05-06-2011 and I am Retired Army, so maybe I will be one of the lucky ones to get a set of badges and the discount when I take delivery in May... Thanks GM, this is an awesome program. I am truly blessed to have served and it’s nice to see all of the supporters here on Camaro5.
