Doesn't look like fabric at all...

Just the way the light dissapates so quickly it must either be fabric or a matte plastic. Either way it doesn't look like acrylic and besides every 2SS shot of late has shown fabric so I had a strong suspicion that would be the final result.

It will sill be acrylic, dont worry about that at all. It will be the same platic panels you payed for. As long as its 2LT, or 2SS you will have the gorgous beautiful plastic panels.
P.S that doesnt look to great at all, as if they toned it down a notch. Probably have to see it in person to fully admire it just like the car itself.

Yeah I'll give you that...now that the image is larger it is hard to tell, but regardless if it's acrylic or not it doesn't matter now because it seems the entire panel does not glow. So if it's acrylic then it will be just a shiny opaque panel with a light shining on it...kinda cheesy sounding.

It was supposed to, wierd, ithink they really downgraded it now. There is a clear trim aroung the entire plastic panels that the light was suppose to shine through.

That looks soooooo CGI, dont worry, in person it will look better, just look at the Dubai video, and then picture the dash not lighting up. When you first see the ABL in that video, there is no dome lighting on in the car, so you get a true representation of the ABL

I thought it was CamaroScotty that said we would have a good pic of it Saturday afternoon.
And NOOOOOOO I am NOT gonna search. It's just a comment.

This is a different type of ABL thread. No speculation, we all know the deal. We are now talking about what it will look like. Just like all the talk last year and the year before. You get threads about wondering how it will be. Then you get threads discussing how it is and what we think about it.:seesaw:

Anyway, I'll be waiting for the pics of the interior with the final designs.

No, that pic (the small one) has been up on Chevylaunch since the 26th. It was just so ambiguous no one bothered to post it up.

This is the photo they had and it was blown up really big bigger then life size. The RJT car had it on but was hard to see should have taken a pic my bad guy but I bet some guy did.

The car's interior where the lighting was, was a hard plastic not a fabric finish where the lighting was.

Atleast you confirmed that for those who were confused about the fabric, i do wish you had a pic, but oh well, im sure someone else would have taken a pic. I know how it feels, i brought soo many batteries and memory cars to take pics, but once i saw the car, i just lost all concentration and just embraced the moments i had with it too

lmao
Even that doesnt look complete because it doesnt extend the whole top of the panel, it just fades in and fades out, their eary models looked better. Shouldnt it stop right at the begining of the door panel?

did they add a light under the rear view mirror at least to carry the effect through the center of the car?

i don't think its going to look bad it just not going to look like we thought it was but once you get use to it you will like the ambient in just the door just as well. now if we can only see it on a real car.

No they didn't. John still said that, that car still doesn't have the full production lighting. The lighting only made it up a quarter of the way of the door. Still looked really cool but he confirmed it will be alot brighter and travel all the way up the door.

Maybe if all the lights were not aiming at the car we could have seen the lighting better.

I would think if they made it a touch brighter on the doors and had little microscopic matching blue led shining from the rear view mirror down or from the head board it would complete the look and we wouldnt miss the dash

Thats comforting but i thought it was supposed to be done by now. I guess well just have to wait until production. I will see if there is ABL on the product training camaro on tuesday, i will take pics with the flash off if it is there, and with the IPhone, it tends to get the truest colour and representation of real life
