keyfob

Who here has refused key fob switch? I called GM directly and stated I have no interest in changing to a cheap key from the dark ages Lol. I've had switchblade keys since 2007.
So now it's logged I don't want to perform service Can I be made too or denied insurance claims like one dealer told my friend?

No, they cant make you do anything. If you called and denied the work, they have that on record. But if one day something happens and your key was the issue, GM is off the hook.

It's pretty easy to reverse if they ever do manage to get sold off your key(and if you ever take it to a dealership they will do the recall). The new key is just a switchblade key molded into a plastic handle. Reversing the recall is just a matter of cutting away the handle and reinserting and pinning the switchblade back in place.

You own the car and the keys. Don't be victim of bully's. Nobody can make you do anything to things that you own. The only insurance claim that could ever be denied would be if your accident was caused by the key fob.
