How scary is this??

It seems that up here in New England our ability to wash our own cars is being threatened.

Looks like you will be washing the car at 6:00 am. It's the best time of day to do it anyway.

Doesnt sound like a big deal to me... they have done that before here. Just wash in the evening. As Pappi said, the middle of the day is the worst time to wash anyhow.

Thats just crazy that they can control that. You pay for your water, you should be able to use it how you see fit!!!!

This may be true in Michigan. Where water is everywere. But in some areas. They draw there drinking water from underground aquafiers or small local rivers. Which are now becoming low from over use.

In west Texas, limited water usage is common. If you get caught watering on the wrong day, you can be fined.

Its fairly common in many areas of the country to impose water restrictions at various times of year. To what extent they enforce it is another story.

I talk to customers in some areas where they have literally been ticketed and fined good amounts of money for washing so they've resorted to plastic sheeting the walls of their garages and washing with the door closed, out of view.

LOL... sucks that those of us who care about our cars pay a price in these situations.

Welcome to the new America. Freedom is a thing of the past. You can also now be charged different electric rates at different times of the day, making you have to do laundry at night on "off-peak" hours, in some parts of the country.

Scary stuff, but most of Americans have their heads firmly planted in their asses.

The snow sucks, but there is something for living next to the largest fresh water ecosystem in the world.

If there is a genuine water shortage, it is probably not a bad idea for the local municipalities that run the water system to take steps to conserve.

It's probably not a bad idea to avoid washing the car at noon when the sun is shining directly down from above either. That is a great way to ruin your paint.
