Can you post some pics of the routing of the hoses from the catch can? Also how long have you had the catch can installed? I'm sure we can help!

Any 2.4L Z24 experts around?

I recently purchased 2 Z24's. One of them decided to develop a very weird issue.

The car would only start with a shot of starter fluid. No warning lights on at all. Once the cars is running, it runs great. Pulls hard, shifts smooth, no hesitation. Only thing prior to the starting issue was a rough idle.

I have replaced the the fuel filter and the Fuel Pressure regulator. with no change. Although, last night and this morning the car started right up with out it's shot of starter fluid.

anyone?

I had a few of the V6 ones. They were notorious for blown head gaskets. not sure on the I4 ones. The V6 ones wouldnt start too well if the gasket was blown but they also wouldnt run very good once started and would overheat. Common on the 2.8 and 3.1s

The 2.4 I had was pretty much trouble free but it was new so that doesnt really count.

Can I ask why you bought them? You have kids ready to drive or something else up your sleeve???

BTW your hoses did arrive. We're going to do Drews soon I think. I also have a fancy funnell that creates head pressure to fill system.

Both, the coupe is a 5 speed as well. I have 2 driving, I want to teach my girls how to drive manual. My one knows how to ride a motorcycle so she should be easy to teach.

I also am hoping to turn the coupe into track car for all of us (wife, kids, and myself). Then have the camaro for even more fun track days...lol

Hey beefcake, welcome to our corner of C5! We'll try not to let that Mustang bother us! Nice looking ride... and fast apparently! The typical surgeon general warning for this thread... "if you are offended easily, this may not be the thread for you"... but it's all in good fun, we just tend to be a bunch of smart-asses. No harm intended!

Hey bud!

Actually I did not, I put it off another year. This year I am going to paint my IROC that I have been doing for 3 or 4 years now and putting it off. I do have a few gooddies to go on the Camaro, including a one piece driveshaft.

Also, I don't know if DE told you or you caught it from a few pages back, we had our baby last Tuesday!!

He's perfect!

As far as a crusie, I think were looking at doing a mod day, maybe May5th or there abouts.

Stay tuned...

I'm not easily offended, and with a 9 second daily driver, got plenty to back it up with!

I have had some nice GM rides as well, last was an 08 LS3 C6 running 10.8's

http://www.streetfire.net/video/Beef...run_641218.htm

That's a 10.93 run, but the stang in the other lane was pretty quiet so you can hear the car real good.
