Maybe things should not be posted until full details are known about the problems.
Not to mention all the haters who would love to get their hands on said info. This is a perfect example. It's posted the trunk leaks. People freak out. Turns out the weather stripping got ripped somehow. Not a problem with the car at all.
Oh, and I'm not ripping on the OP by any means. I'm just saying from now on we need to be careful about the problems we post with the car before all info is known.

Thanks for the update. But maybe next time you could follow you own advice you are giving others after the fact....and investigate the issue first before creating a post with a title "My trunk leaks like a sob!" that you know is going to get people fired up.

There's bound to be a few hiccups here and there - great to hear it was damage and not a design flaw. My SS just got built and I don't even want to think of it falling into the Oshawa triangle for a leaky trunk... Now go have fun with ur camaro so we can live vicariously through you!

Agreed, panic is not in order. I do think prompt reporting to the dealer is in order. I really believe that GM has a huge agenda to make this car as perfect as they can. Giving them constructive feedback is key. Not expecting this car to be perfect but, it just may be as close to that as anything I've owned.

Ok, so the nose will not crack and the trunk does not leak...........can't you guys wait like 1 day before you report the problems you are having???

Get a resolution then report, "this happened, and they did__________ to take care of it"

Panic is never good.

Can you describe this in more detail for us? I am having a hard time understanding how one can tear weather strippingwashing the car. Just so we can avoid the same problem. I presume the trunk was open and you were wiping around the weatherstripping?

You miss understood, ihave no idea how it got tore, but when I spray it with the hose it does leak, and to those who say I should wait and post when I know more info, I will consider this next time but my first thread that got closed , was to see if anyone else had any issues not to start a panic

We should all keep the problems between ourselves and the dealer. The Camaro guys aren't the only ones visiting this site, if you read about all the problems that everyone is talking about and havent quite decided on the car, you would probably be scared away, GM doesn't need anymore bad press. Giving out reports about what you like and don't like might be better, but leave the problems to the dealer to take care of, they always seem to fix it.

GM has caused there own bad press and yes like I said yesterday mr dealer leaks do occur often. My wife works for a Lemon Law firm and leaks happen ALL the time and cant be fixed and have to go under the Lemon or Mag Moss laws. As for the bad press that GM has it was caused by them and not the media or any one person.
