+1. I've been saying all along about how nice it would be if our SS's were like the 4gens and we had SLP items from the factory and SLP #'s.

did you notice it said "ALL sold orders" ?

meaning the ~30,000 sold orders should be made/delivered by the end of July.

4 months to make that many somewhat custom cars is awesome

Wow -- I love the way I'm misquoted......

I did not say that we'll build every sold order by June or July -- I said that we'd LIKE to get them all built by then and that we're doing what we can to schedule them as quickly as possible.........

........for two VERY good reasons:

>1. ...WE NEED THE MONEY!!! (a bit trite, but true!)

>2. ...We want you behind the steering wheels of your new Camaros -- you kept the faith -- so we want you in 'em -- and we also know that you are some of our best salespeople!

As to the front 'hash marks' on the left front fender -- that's a Tom Henry Racing signature from the 4th gen THR Camaros --

Well that cleared that up! Thanks for the clarification. We appreciate it, without you things would be that much more crazier. Can you immagine?:bangdesk::cry : It wouldn't be pretty! Thanks again!

With regards to getting the V6 and investing in some upgrades instead of going with the stock V8, besides the performance satisfaction, some people just like knowing they're not driving a stock car.

Personally I'd take the V6 and do some minor upgrades (CAI, Exhaust etc.) because thats what i could afford and then look at doing heavier mods later at my discretion. Plus the obvious of saving on gas and insurance. It's also kinda nice to pull up beside someone who doesn't know exactly what you got under the hood.

By way of the GMPP catalog if the LS3 has 1.7 then the 1.85 would gain about a ~10% increase in lift. Maybe a few more HPs over stock but it is a good bolt on to go with...especially the true roller versions. There is less valve train stress, guides last longer and the tips and stems last more too.

I disagree, because a modded V6 will easily be a 13 second car in the 1/4 mile that also gets close to 30 mpg to boot, that is fantastic value!! The V6 is not a reject trim level like in the mustang.

Exactly this V8 trumps the six mentality is sometimes on the verge of ignorance. The more you mod a car the chances of your mpg going down is high! You mod that V8 enough and your mpg is at 12 mpg enjoy. I will mod my V6 run 13's with a 5 sec 0-60 and still be at 20 mpg avg. Besides the sleeper effect will be priceless !!!

This reminds me of a lapse in... rational thinking... I had a few years back... make it 9 years ago when I bought a 2000 Mustank GT over a 1999, or was it a 98 Camaro SS, it was everything I wanted in a Camaro, color t-tops wheels you name it, it had it. It was $6,000 more than the Mustang. I bought the Mustang thinking cool I saved $6,000 on a muscle car. later I found out that it would cost me at least $6,000 to upgrade the suspension and motor to even come close to meeting the specs and performance of the SS Camaro... To this day I have no clue why I settled for a Mustang, I hated FORD's... still do. Never again I tell you NEVER again!!! I got worked off the line too many times by the SS camaro and the WS6 Firebird. One time I did a stop light drag with both at the same time all 3 of us in a row... I kept up with the WS6 for about... 5 seconds, maybe, MAYBE! probably more like 2, the Camaro SS HAA all I could see were tailights in the dark night and the chirp of his tires every time he shifted gears

The difference i that you are assuming every v6 guy wants to have the fastest Camaro out there some guys just want a well rounded fun to drive car and with a few mods be faster than the average 6

The supercharger? Probably between $4-$6K I'm guessing, based off what I have seen for similar vehicles, I have seen some close to $8,000

Long tube headers, $800-$1200 again a semi educated guess... but it's been a while since I've looked.

True true, That's how I feel about my V6 in my FJ, It's the only thing you can get in the FJ but there are guys who have put superchargers in theres... WOW... I like to do small mods as time goes on, so it feels like a new car after every mod

Exactly it almost seems sometimes on here that the v6 is the lesser car. Most people will NEVER take there Camaro to the track!

Nah it's about what you want and what fits your needs. It's a Camaro regardless IMO. I know plenty of people who want one, but don't want the V8, and that's fine, I personally will be getting a V8, but that's because thats me. That's what I want, that's why i am buying it, some peopel are buying one for the looks and don't need nor want the V8, too the V6 in this thing is said to not be a slouch at all!! I read a review on teh V6 WOW, very impressive.
