FOR SALE: 2010 Indy 500 Camaro Pace Car

Up for sale is my 2010 Indy 500 Camaro Pace Car it is one of the 250 GM official US dealer allocated replicas. I am the original owner and have owned it since May 26, 2010. It has been garage kept since new and has only been driven to and from car shows last year. It has only 1,080 miles on it. Like all of the replicas it has an automatic transmission with tap shift. The only addition to the car is a 3M clear bra which covers the entire front end and mirrors to protect it from rock chips, dings or scratches. The bra was professionally installed by a Porsche dealer and cost $1,200.00. The car has been waxed with Zaino professional car show wax.

I attended the Indy 500 last year and was able to pick up a ton of race memorabilia, below is a partial list of items and everything goes with the car.

Asking $38,500.00 reasonable offers accepted. I paid over the $41,900.00 sticker price and the car is superb.

2010 official Indy 500 items; most of these items are no longer available.
(1) Official Program (In the Official 2010 Logo Plastic Sleeve)
(2) Colorized Half-Dollar Limited Edition (#108 of 500)
(3) 2010 Centennial Era Limited Edition Cap (#232 of 1010)

Unfortunately these cars are still around brand new in the $35k range. You have a great car but may need to adjust down just a little to get a sale.

Good luck and love the car

Thanks, you make a great point... I have revised the post to indicate that I will consider reasonable offers too. Heck that's only a $3,500.00 difference.

So let's say we start at the $35K then add in:

- It's low mileage; garage kept and lightly used condition, heck it even still smells new.

- The complete factory documentation including build sheets, shipping labels all extensively photographed to insure future authenticity.

- Even a 50% return on the cost of the original custom 3M clear bra.

- All of the Indy 500 memorabilia.

I think somewhere in between the $35K and $38,500 is a great value so someone make me an offer.

I love your car, wish I had the money! But more than anything, I would really love to get my hands on one of the Canadian Pace Cars with the 6-Speed Manual Transmission!!! Those are kinda hard to find!!! Good luck with the sale....free bump!

Hum, that puzzles me I would like to see the paperwork on that deal. Heck I spoke to my dealer this afternoon about it and he said at $34K that dealer took a sizable loss to sell it.

It also surprises me that the dealer could not find a buyer for over a year when many people have been looking to buy one but, could not find one.

More realistically would be the fact that the buyer used the GM employee discount and a few other discount or pricing plans or maybe had positive equity in a trade. Other than that it might be a fake, I have seen many of them out there and they look just like the real thing Indy logo and all.

Being a 2010 model car I would think the dealers at this point would be willing to take a loss to sell it and get it off the books. What a great opportunity for someone to grab a stunning looking car that is sure to be collectible in the future.

you'd think so but I couldn't get a dealer to budge off of 28k on a GTO leftover last year.

I've seen these cars for 37-38 not 34. That deal must have included GM car dough. I think all things considered this is a good deal. I'd love to have it. Free bump for luck w/ sale!

Well originally I was holding out for a vert with a manual trans in a Z28 flavor but, around this time last year I was not sure GM was even going to make the vert and well you know the still current speculation on the Z28. In the mean time I fell in love with the IOM pace car and I figured that it would be a couple of years before we would see a Z28 or the verts and I would make my switch then; at least I would have a 5th gen to enjoy in the mean time... Then in a completely unexpected move GM announced the 2011 Indy Pace Car vert and offered it in a manual forcing me to make a move earlier than I expected. I really don't want to sell it but, I have a 2011 vert on its way and there is no room in the garage or budget for both...

Wow, just had to share this! The car is two for two this year at the car shows, it won top 10 in in both shows. This car is such a crowd pleaser it beat out several very, very nice cars too.

My dealer just showed me the auction report from the Manheim Auto Auction in PA. Very low mileage 2010 RS/SS Camaro's are going for between $32,500 to $33,500 and none of them had the addition of the $7,100 Indy Pace Car package.

I might, since they give $2k over auction price. Just thought it would be a shame to trade this car to the dealer, plus I thought it was a good idea to give someone here on the board who would appreciate it the opportunity to get a great car at a great price. Sounds like u are suggesting that was wrong!
